Ok when new but wear rate excessive on the front 11000mls and need replacing now. Wet grip never great but at 5000 miles worse. Will never again buy a goodyear tyre

The tyres where ok they did last forever but i felt they where not telling you what was happening. you turn into the corner and not know you are turning until you are through the corner. In the wet the grip is horrible. The only thing good about them is that they lasted for 40000km's

Switched over to winter tyres shortly after the snowfall over Christmas/New Year. I'd been meaning to get some for a while but just never got round to it. They're fitted on a spare set of steel wheels and the difference compared to the Summer tyres I had on is just amazing. I can stop when I would normally just slide and I can drive around and get up/down hills where other cars are just spinning.
It's too early to say about wear or dry grip as I haven't had them long enough and the roads haven't really been dry but they are designed as Severe Weather Tyres with the Snowflake in the Mountain symbol and for the job I bought them for they have been faultless. I'll come back and edit the review once the winter is over.

Yes I would buy them again and if I can get them in the sizes for my other car I will buy them again.

Writing about the Bridgestone Potenza RE050 given 63% (225-45-17-W)
Driving on mostly motorways for 12 average miles
Grip in dry good when new but faded badly after they were only about half-worn. Not nearly as long lasting as the P-Zero Asims that I replaced with them, only got 12k off them on fronts with pretty much all this being motorway driving. Road noise was very noticeable after not much wear. Would not be keen to buy again purely based on the wear rate.
