Lexus GS 250 Luxury Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Nokian PowerProof given 71% (235-45-18-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 15500 spirited miles
Bought the PowerProof as soon as they were released. Since they were replaced by the Nokian ZLine i thought i'd give them a shot. Excellent handling, breaking in the wet. All 4 Tyres had 2mm left after 25,000km. Overall an excellent tyre, especially in the rain, it's like you're driving in the dry weather.

Driving on a combination of roads for 6000 average miles
These tyres represent a considerable improvement upon the factory fitted Bridgestone turanza’s.
Comfort, grip and confidence is so assured with the vreds they transform the entire driving experience and imho show the vehicle off to its optimal performance and enjoyment.

Fantastic tyre and beats the Michelin and Pirelli p zeros that were on my Lexus gs250. Comfort and ride are awesome. Cheaper if you look around too!

These are really average tyres considering they are bespoke Lexus tyres.
They lack any true feeling of confidence or comfort and whilst they are a touring rather than sporty tyre, they fail to inspire in any department other than wear.
In my opinion they are not doing the car justice and as soon as the weather turns cold they frankly become very unpredictable, almost dangerous....hence the decision to invest in a set of winter boots

Writing about the Michelin Pilot Alpin 4 given 96% (235-45-18-)

Just put these back on the car for their second season and whilst I can't comment on their ability to cope with snow yet, they are simply beautiful tyres. So assured and so comfortable I just know I shall be able to cope with any conditions thrown at them with absolute confidence.
Bought these to replace a set of Yokohama winter tyres which were the subject of a "Lexus" deal and there is no comparison - the Michelins win hands down.
