Writing about the Kumho Solus 4S HA32 given 78% (225-55-17-)
Driving on mostly motorways for 1500 easy going miles
The first impression of these tires is actually surprisingly good. They are much quieter than my summer set with Bridgestone Turanza T005 tyres. Grip and road feel are good. I have filled in the scores somewhat conservatively because I have driven relatively few kilometers with it. To be continued.

Daughter just had these tyres fitted to the front of her Mazda 6
Personally I've never heard of them! They cost her $80AU each (I take it plus balance and fit).
As long as they have the new yellow dot on the side of the tyre I know they are good :D
Seriously though, I hope these front tyres are good, we are in Spring here (wet then windy then warm days and nights, you know Spring a mixture of everything!).

Also note, there was no 'choice' so to speak. She basically just went and got new tyres and the guy recommended these ones.
All I can say her drive home in the wet (she actually went about 60kms distance near her bf house) she said they are 'good'. So there's the initial review.

Writing about the Bridgestone Potenza S001 given 71% (225-45-18-W)
Driving on a combination of roads for 13000 spirited miles
Had these on my Mazda 6 for most of last year. Fitted Jan '17. In storage now as my winter tyres are on the car. They're very grippy and very good steering feel. Unfortunately wear is quite rapid and they're noisy. Gonna try Dunlop SP SportMAXX RT2 next time I replace my winter tyres.

Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 average miles
Recently fitted and seem very good, fine in wet and dry. Fitted these as bought car with one random one on back which was almost new, no difference in grip on acceleration between these and the 2 pilot sports that were on the front. Expect they might wear a bit quicker than the pilot sports but I can have 2 and a half sets of these for the same price as one set of the michelins. BTW these are exactly the same tread pattern (and probably the same spec) as the Nexen N Fera SU4.

Driving on mostly town for 7000 average miles
I have driven 10 000 km on these tyres in one year, in a sedate 2004 Mazda Atenza. I bought all 4 tyres in the same purchase in Newmarket, Auckland, NZ this week in May last year (2015). The rear tyres are now shot and have tread of 1.6mm, the front have 5mm. Nobody, even Bridgestone, can explain to me why the wear is so excessively fast. I am not impressed with this. Absolutely no point purchasing a Road Hazard Warranty. They have 'kindly' offered a discount on my next pair, but frankly only 100% discount will do!
