Peugeot 206 1.4 75hp Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Kumho Ecowing ES31 given 87% (175-65-14-)
Driving on mostly motorways for 3000 average miles
I bought four of these tyres for my 2003 Peugeot 206. The ADAC spoke positively about this tyre and reviews on this site about this tyre were positive too. Together with the low price of this tyre I thought I couldn't go wrong.

And I wasn't wrong! These tyres are good! Especially in the dry as the tests confirmed. Very responsive steering, and no under or over steer in sharp corners at all. Very impressed!
When it comes to the wet these tyres are great too. Stable and more than enough grip when cornering sharp on wet roads.
Only downside is these tyres slip easily when taking an extreme sharp corner from stand still on wet concrete parking lot floors. I hope you know what I mean.

Confort great too! But sometimes a little bit hard on ledges and ridges but nothing serious.
Noise a little bit too much in my opinion especially on rough tarmac but I need to be careful with this claim as it could also be my car lacking proper sound insulation ofc.
Wear? 2.000 km is too early to say something about it.

Will I buy these tyres again? I think I will!! Even though these tyres are Made in China, they perform very very well. Don't let that be a reason not to buy these guys. Cheers.

Writing about the Maxtrek MAXIMUS M1 given 81% (175-65-14-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 7000 spirited miles
The tyres are ideal for agressive driving and for rough asphalt. Very acurate in cornering. The wear is very small. I think I'm going to make 10000km with them, wich is very good (I usualy make less than 8000km with other also hard to wear tyres). Driving in wet is another story it is similar to driving on the rims without tyres. Don't recomend to people who want safety and to those who doesn't feel the grip in the steering wheel. Recomend to those who suffer from excessiv tyre wear and want good grip in dry.

Writing about the Pirelli P3000 given 79% (175-65-14-T)
Driving on a combination of roads for 30000 spirited miles
I had these Pirelli P 3000 Energy originally fitted on my Peugeot 206 1.4 75hp
I used these tyres with a prevalent sporty driving style and after 30.000 kms the tread was still in a very good shape.
the tyre is not recommended for a sporty driving style at least on the Peugeot 206 since the car is very "dodgy".
a more relaxed driving style is recommended
the wear is very good and after 30.000 kms the tread was looking almost new.
the comfort is good and the grip in dry surfaces is sufficient.

Writing about the Dunlop StreetResponse 2 given 40% (175-65-14-T)
Driving on a combination of roads for 3500 average miles
This tyre is OK when dry; but in my opinion, they are appalling when the roads are wet. Appear to wear our relatively quickly. Therefore I will never be tempted to buy this tyre again.

It is not resistant to shocks. Very weak sidewall. My bicycle tires harder.

I bought michelin energy saver plus 175/65/14 82T and i am very pleased with them. I can't say anything about how much they will last because i own them 3 months and i have driven 3500 km with them but the are much much better than pirelli P3000(never buy them - buy something that worth less like fulda or barum and i think that it will be better than P3000). I will buy michelin energy saver again because they are great.

Driving on a combination of roads for 7000 average miles
Bought my first set of these and loved every bit of them, just bought my new set yesterday.. cannot fault them! Wet and Dry grip is amazing, so much confidence in terrential rain when cornering etc, Will always be buying these. However they wear really quick which is common sense when you have a tyre that has a high grip rate.
