Peugeot RCZ 2.0 HDi GT Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Toyo Proxes Sport given 94% (235-40-19-W)
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 spirited miles
I fitted a pair to the front of my Peugeot ZCZ HDi at the end of February just before my MOT was due. The improvement over the Avon’s that were on there was amazing. The biggest improvement though was to the ride quality. It no longer crashed over small potholes & ridges in the road. Well not at the front anyway. Because of lockdown, I didn’t rush to change the worn rears, as per MOT advisory. However, yesterday morning I had a new pair fitted to the rear. Total transformation to the ride quality, yet it still maintained its grip. Even brand new on damp roads. It can only get better. Highly recommended tyre!

Driving on mostly country roads for 10000 easy going miles
The Yokohama handle well and give good feedback however, they have lasted less well than my previous continental tyres and fuel economy dropped by about 4 mpg, although this seems to have been less of an issue as they have worn. In the long run I think that the continentals lasted nearly twice as many miles and were more economical.

Driving on mostly town for 10000 easy going miles
I've had these tyres for a year now. Initially was raving over them - superb grip, seemed like the car was glued to the road - a significant improvement in control and responsiveness over the stock Pirellis.

But just a year and 10k miles on the tyres are almost down to the limit. That's shocking wear on a tyre this expensive. The car hasn't been driven to excessive speeds or offroad at all. Will have to fork out for a new set, and won't be going for these again

Driving on a combination of roads for 25000 average miles
Had these on my Peugeot RCZ several times and am really pleased with them. The only apparent downside is how bony the ride is and how much you feel the road but without being an expert, I'd put that down to the nature of the car, not the tyre. I have never felt even remotely unsafe...I have never suffered or been worried through lack of grip at any speed in any kind of weather...in fact in the snow, which living in the Peak District we get a lot of, they are tremendous. I had previously had Continentals and they have always worn out ridiculously quickly but these are good for well over 20k miles and this is from someone who does around 35k miles per year. Given the price (I had two fitted to the rear just 2 days ago...£85 each plus valve, wheel balance etc) I personally think they are great value and so long as you're not one to drive like a nutter, in my experience, they have been tremendous.
