Peugeot RCZ GT 156THP Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Michelin Pilot Sport 5 given 87% (235-45-19-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 average miles
Only done 1000 miles but these new Michelin sport 5s are very good and a noticeable improvement on the 4s.
They handle well, no notice able uneven wear pattern as yet.
They are quiet too.
And pot holes seem less jarring, more adsorption from the rubber compound?

Writing about the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 given 76% (235-45-19-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 25090 average miles
These handled well even in icy cold weather. They wear quickly and the fronts last approx 8000 miles but had uneven wear due camber set up being wrong, so assume would have got another 5,000
The backs lasted 25000 miles

Writing about the Bridgestone Potenza Sport given 50% (235-45-19-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 15000 average miles
These Bridgestone, last 15,000.
They were noisy and handling skittish
The wear pattern was even.
Grip not as good as other brands in dry and wet.
Will not buy again.

These are the tyres have to be the for wear that I have purchased I have only done about 4,000 km and already they are down to 7mm and 9 mm and I am not a hard driver at all, do not purchase these tyres they are a waste of money

purchased 4 new zeetex HP2000 vfm and have found them good at handling on wet and dry on a RCZ sports coupe and well priced

Writing about the Falken Azenis FK510 given 50% (235-40-19-W)
Driving on mostly motorways for 1000 easy going miles
Replaced a mix of cheap tyre and continental on front of RCZ - had high hopes but the road noise was unbelievably poor. Didn't see any improvement in handling etc.

Can't really comment on wear.

Overall very disappointed - mainly due to road noise - which was one of the reasons I bought these tyres in the first place.

How to transform the ride and comfort in an RCZ in one easy lesson!
My RCZ GT 156THP was fitted from new with Continentals being a 19" wheel it was expected to be a firm ride and although the grip and feedback was faultless I got tied of the road noise that progressed with wear and the excessive hard ride. Having Michelin Pilots before on a 407Coupe I knew there was a good chance they would suit the RCZ. Once the fronts were near worn out these Super Sports were fitted and what a difference, the road noise gone, no need to turn the radio up at motorway speeds and the ride was completly transformed, car still grips like S**t to a blanket in both Dry & Wet conditions but handles minor road surface imperfections without jolting your arms on the wheel! The only thing that was noticed that perhaps the Continentals had more feel of the road and a little more feedback. For wear these tyres have only been on a few months so I cannot coment but from experience they are no worse than any other premium tyre. So to conclude if you have a RCZ thats giving you a hard ride on 19"wheels get some Michelin Super Sports fitted.
