Renault laguna coupe Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 given 90% (225-45-18-W)
Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 spirited miles
Bought these last year without any test except the one on the manufacturers claims about the areas they outperformed the competition. I knew the predecessor and experienced new Michelin PIlotAlpin and so I decided to try this new set of PIrellis. I am please to say I made the correct choice. Car is driven pretty hard both on local and highway roads in all sorts of weather conditions. I am very please and especially surprised how they perform on dry road in terms of feedback, precision and grip. That is quite unusual for winter tyre with so many sipes for snow performance. They also grab through thick snow excellently. These are bar none the best max performance winter tyres I had and I always invested in top rubber in 20 years of my motoring so I am comparing this set to all other top level manufacturers.

Driving on mostly motorways for 12000 spirited miles
I find it hard to believe anyone has actually given a good reciew of this tyre, for the money they cost they are terrible. Michellin exalto or pilot are far far superior, even Pirelli p zero nero are better. The dry grip is not good at all, do all these audi RS 4/6 whatever drivers have real rs versions. I have a modest 150 BHP laguna coupe, the tyres don't even grip well when I sprint from standing on an anti skid patch of road at my wifes work which is a busy intersection. in the wet the feedback screams help i'm losing grip and your going to die, hell it screams that in the MOIST. this is a premium rip off. I had P zero neros's on my 207 GT and they were FAR FAR superior offered more than enough grip in dry wet or whatever but didn't last long. Michy exalto lasted the distance and would stick to a road woth no gravity. Don't waste your cash on the conti sport rip off
