Saab Automobile 93 Sportwagen 150 TiD Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Continental Premium Contact 6 given 53% (235-45-17-)
Driving on mostly town for 8500 average miles
Terrible longevity. The tyres needed replacing at 8500 miles. Sent off to Continental who blamed tracking, despite the wear being the full width of the tyres and the tracking fine. Last time I'd buy Continental.

I've been using this tires for the whole summer season for now and I must say that I've been very impressed, I thought that as cheap tires the quality will be poor but my friend convinced me and I have to say that it was the best choice I've done. Approx 250€ for 4 tires in 235/45 17 install included is incredible and the quality is very good I was wondering if I could get the rainsport 3from uniroyal and I read a lot of feedback that they were lasting 15000km or exploding as they were fragile..

I've been running on Uhp 2 for over 10000km, no issue so far they are still in good condition and I'm not driving calm

Great Tyre for all round year use, including wet autumn, and occasional winter showers/ice

Basically rubbish, I paid £104 fitted pair so should have realised. Had uniroyal rain expert before. My review is probably bias as it has rained virtually non stop since fitting them a 3 thousand miles ago. I was that dissapointed i was going to change them but havnt yet had the time.
I should have paid the extra £40 for a quality brand..........

Driving on mostly country roads for 16000 average miles
I have had these tyres on an SAAB 9-3 Sportwagen for just under one year and 16,000 miles.

At first they were seemingly fine although it took three attempts to get them balanced properly (at additional expense).

However in the last few weeks I have noticed that the grip has all but disappeared. Initially I thought that it was me even though I am not an enthusiastic driver but having driven the car in rain last week it is most definitely the tyres. Driving across roundabouts at low speed caused the traction control to kick in at approx 20mph.

I am off to get new tyres tomorrow. The old addage is true: you get what you pay for. These may have been cheap but to get only 16,000 miles from a set of tyres (even though they still have at least 6mm of tread left) is ridiculous...
