Basically a budget tyre. OK for dry driving styles. Easy to normal wet road driving. Anything above normal wet road driving, no grip. A very basic XL rated budget tyre. A poor performing, cheap tyre. Especially in the wet or damp road conditions.

Terrible tyre got them as pervious budget tyres from same place had been upto what i wanted. These however turn the car into a death trap, no grip in the wet minimal in the dry, horrible vibrations off them will be replacing with kumho ku39s as these have been great in the past and on par with previous toyos i was running .

Driving on a combination of roads for 10 spirited miles
This is an update on the Astra and Vectra below or above when this comes out.The Astra has now done 10,762 miles on the fronts and they are ready for changing they have about 2/3mm in depth left. They have been a very good tyre since placed on the car they have never slipped up in the wet and the braking is very good, wet and dry they corner with no fuss whats so ever with very little road noise. The story is very near the same on the Vectra but not so well with wear I dont think I will reach 10k on the fronts unlike the Astra also they have never let me down.. even in bad rain on motorways and B roads they pull up very well and in the dry are sooo grippy. In both cases they are better with the 2psi increase above minimum pressure, once ballanced from fitting they have been no trouble at all, my opinion on these tyres is on my size they are good value at £42 on mine and £44 on the Astra a tyre we will be fitting them again soon they are great for the money.

As said in the 1st posting the pics of the tyre online make the tyre look like a crossply but be assured they are a nice wide tyre in the flesh.
cheers

Driving on a combination of roads for 400 easy going miles
Like driving on a rollercoaster in the wet. You simply dont know when the traction will break away from the road. Had these on the car for 400 miles of sheer rollercoaster madness. Should be named ditch pickers. No wet grip period, average dry grip. Final straw came when I entered a dampish roundabout and the car spun around. These should be withdrawn scarey scarey tyres. Lost back end traction turning a slow 10 mph corner. Off they came and full refund given.

Driving on a combination of roads for 850 spirited miles
Put these on the car just over 850 miles ago on the front, after a period of scuffing the shine off I have given these a good test on the road. The dry grip is very good and braking holds no issues, this goes the same in the wet in the recent very bad rain we have had they held their own very well and never let go of the road. They have a high treadwear rating 440 so I hope will last quite a time, I only paid ?43 fitted for them and I am at the mo well pleased with them, I did note they like slightly higher pressure above minimum with 2/3psi they feel better with no loss of grip and still firm footed in the wet. How these will pan out over the next 0000's miles time will tell but at this point in time..a very good tyre.

Very keenly priced tyre, made by Firestone under Bridgestone group. Much better option than budget rubber - this tyre has a quality compund, decent tread pattern, is well balanced and of an extremely high quality for its price. RECOMMENDED!!!
