Volkswagen Passat B5.5 130 TDI Sport Tyre Review Highlights

Ive a 1.9 TDi sport Passat. It’s been remapped and a few tweaks It is driven hard most of the time on variety roads from motorway to B roads and minor roads. I think these are possibly the best wet grip tyres I’ve tried. Easily better than a certain brand of ‘wet-sport’ tyres. I will fit them to impreza when it requires them probably next month amd see how they go on it.
But first class tyres no noticeable difference in performance compared to ones £50+ more expensive.

First impressions. Better feedback than former Ventus Prime2. Tests show very good performance on wet tarmac. This tyre is really close to premium and even beats some top brands in certain tests. You can find almost all the sizes and the price is much lower than top rivals.

I have always used Michelin tyres (if I could afford them) my tyre of choice has always been the Michelin Primacy HP as the wear rate and wet grip on these is always fantastic. I was a bit sceptical when I replaced worn tyres with these Primacy 3's but my goodness I have never seen a better tyre in the wet. The wetter it gets, the more these tyres cling to the road. You can push the car with confidence (especially if your suspension and brakes are in good shape)...dry grip not as good, the wear rate was disappointing in comparison to the HP's, I have had to move these to the back to prolong their life. Fully recommend them still though.

Very nice tyres. Got them new for 95€/p I love that quiet in car, not noise makers. It's tricky on wet to go fast in corners but I prefer to drive only in dry condition so they are good for my style.

Driving on a combination of roads for 100 spirited miles
I travel some 40,000 miles a year and and have used a variety of tyre brands mainly premium, however having 4 Evergreen 2354517 tyres fitted was quite a surprise. When first fitted I was cautioned to drive carefully as these tyres are silica based and need to run a 'heat cycle' before pushing hard on them and to my amazement the tyres were superb in the dry and also in the wet unless you drive like an idiot too fast for the conditions. I suspect in many of these reviews the drivers are macho, men who think they know everything about cars and driving, so many drivers do not recognise a safe speed for conditions but do not have the mentality to admit it.( the accident rate in the UK proves my point) Evergreen well done a good premium product at an affordable mid range price as a fully qualified advanced driving trainer I do have a clue about this issue and also about tyres 56.000 miles on a set better that if you can.....

Very good choice. I have it on my Passat B5.5, they are excellence! On my front axle I have Excellence (made in Germany) and they are so good. On my back axle there are Excellence (made in Slovenia) and they are bit low...But they handle very well, excellent performance in dry and wet, on snow very bad, and I will buy them again, for sure. All recomendations.

Average dry grip and decent cornering. Poor wet grip, very spinny with torquey engine. Only cover 7500 miles when done.
