255/30 20 Tyre Review Highlights

Falken Azenis FK520 rated 84% while driving a BMW 440i Gran Coupe M Sport
Driving on mostly country roads for 4000 spirited miles
I had to change the tyres from Pirelli Pzero and i choose to take the Falken FK520 instead of the PS4, because there is a huge price difference (1000€) in Austria. And i was not disappointed .. the tyres are really performing.. its crazy .. never expected that..

Pirelli P Zero rated 53% while driving a Volvo Unknown
Driving on mostly country roads for 15000 easy going miles
I didn’t think I’d have any issues with this top brand tyre. Even swapping front to back at 15k and 6mm left on rears and 5mm on fronts, still thought I wouldn’t need to concern myself at wet road conditions.

Straight braking, excellent. Saved myself from a side impact on a car pulling out on me at 27mph to zero in under 2 car lengths. The dash cam was very accurate in relaying that detail. I had a small scratch instead of a significant dent. Dry conditions.

But any corner, steep curve in the wet it is a gamble whether these tyres will grip or not. Even when they were quite new the sideways grip was shocking.

Dunlop SportMaxx RT 2 rated 93% while driving a Audi A4
Driving on a combination of roads for 200 spirited miles
Tried the goodyear asymmetric 5 for a month. Swap tu the horrible but expensive ps4s for a week n finally to this excellent RT2. I was blown away. Sudden quieter tyres. So much more smoother to drive than the PS4s n Asymmetric 5. More direct steering too. So glad i tried this. Better to drive than the asymmetric 5. Waaaaaaay better to drive than the crappy ps4s. Best decision ever.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S rated 52% while driving a Audi A4
Driving on a combination of roads for 180 spirited miles
After changing to this tyres after using the goodyear asymmetric 5, i was really shocked at how outdated the car feels. Road roughness vibrates through the cabin, more noise, the sidewall is soft but tyres are harsh. So opposite of asymmetric 5 which has harder sidewalls but very plush to drive absorbing road imperfections. Steering feels also feels so inconsistent. I guess many people just buy this because its expensive. Used for a week, changed to Dunlop RT2 and never regretted. Straight away feels so much smoother, quieter with more direct steering. Stay off this outdated tyre. Expensive doesn't mean better. Trust me.

Federal Evoluzion ST 1 rated 83% while driving a Audi TT RS
Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 average miles
Exceptional tyres for their value.
OEM Yokohama V105's were worse...much worse not only in comfort but in both performance on dry and wet. Just the road feedback could be improved ...
Very good tyre and w/o much info in the net was curious to try them and don't regret at all...

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S rated 93% while driving a BMW 435d
Driving on a combination of roads for 300 spirited miles
Bought the car a year ago with Accelera PHI tyres. They were fine in the dry but frightening in the wet. Now on Michelin pilot sport 4s. Just buy them.....night and day.

Accelera PHI rated 70% while driving a Mercedes Benz CLS 320
Driving on mostly town for 2000 easy going miles
I have been driving with those for over 2k miles and I have nothing really bad to say about them. I am very rarely taking the car to extremities so I can't really say if tyres are grippy or not. I have not felt loss of traction in my daily driving. Of course, tires do slip on hard acceleration, but that I consider normal given the 610nm kicking the rear wheels. Tyres provide average feedback from the road, but that is not a problem for the non-spirited driver like me. Wear is pretty good for, compound is really soft with hard walls (XL rated). They do feel on the noisy side at times, but that is acceptable given their price.

Would totally purchase them again. Best bank for the buck definitely.

Federal 595EVO rated 51% while driving a BMW Z3M Coupe
Driving on mostly town for 1500 spirited miles
After replacing 225 40 18 front and 255 35 18 rear Federal RSR semi slick on my BMW Z3M Coupe S54, I put different wheels front-rear, 235 35 19 front, 255 30 20 rear. I put those wheels just to have it for better car looking. First problem was to balance rear tyres. I put on and off tyre from wheel 2-4 times to get even a chance of balancing it. I can see from my eyes that brand new tyre is not straight, it was deformed. But, when I manage to balance it, I could say i'm ok with this tyre.
I do not expect anything, but tyres was ok in feedback, progressiveness, even wear is much better than previous ones.
Generally, I like construction of federal tyres, they have very strong side walls (almost like run-flats) and that gives very good feedback.

Federal 595EVO rated 37% while driving a Audi A5 3.0 tdi quattro sport
Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 average miles
The tyres came with a brand new set of rims, as I bought the car to put them on just before, i was trying to stay on budged. A bad decision. After driving almost 8000 kimlometers the tires got cuts along the inner sidewall and one even lost a Piece of the running surface, like a renewal one.
At least 3 tires were broken and even lost 1mm of Profile.
Our technical authority in Germany, the TÃœV Nord told me these tires might even not pass the high Speed test. The sidewall is too weak, and the Quality of the compound too bad. At least because of the weak sidewall (I have 92s XL) and of the poor Quality the tires got teared by the torque and weight of the car. I have an A5 convertible 3.0 diesel and can not recommend these for any heavy and powerful car.
