255/35 20 Tyre Review Highlights

Hankook Ventus S1 Evo Z K129 rated 80% while driving a SEAT Cupra Formentor 2022
Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 average miles
Great grip and feeling in the dry, decent grip in the wet, absolutely no grip when it's cold but that's expected.
The wear is not great, they don't last much but until they do, they are fun.

Uniroyal RainSport 5 rated 76% while driving a Jaguar XF S
Driving on a combination of roads for 16 spirited miles
Had these on my XF Sportbrake for 16,000 miles now with still plenty of tread depth left. Not quite as good as Pilot sports, contisports and F1s for dry road performance, but not by much. Where they excel is in the wet where they are just superb with very little aqua planning at speed, just amazing! They are a nice looking tyre as well with an aggressive sidewall style. They won’t give you the longevity of a Michelin or Goodyear tyre but they are a very good cheaper alternative to the higher cost premium brands.

Vredestein Ultrac Pro rated 91% while driving a Jaguar XF
Driving on a combination of roads for 1300 average miles
I was looking for Driving dynamics of CSportContact 7 but with longer lasting lifespan ( 240 on CSC7 compared to 320 on Ultrac Pro) and comfort over road imperfections. So, even after putting them I felt - soft & sporty feel although not too sporty - just enough. We understand that it was designed to fit the middle ground of everything, security, comfort & life span.

The only thing I wish for - the increase rim protection. On my 20's inch the rim protection is smaller on the outside than on the inside of the alloy. But at least it's at a minimum.

I pump them to 2.5 bar on R20.

Pirelli P Zero rated 86% while driving a Volvo 2.0 T5 Saloon
Driving on mostly motorways for 1000 average miles
Previously had Bridgestone run-flat tyres. Very hard ride with the 255/35/20 tyre's.
Fitted four new Pirelli P Zero and what a huge difference!
So much quieter and softer ride. psi was the same as the Bridgestone tyres, but obviously the ridged walls of the run-flat tyres affects both the noise and the smoothness of the ride.
I will not be buying run-flat tyres again; not only that, but I had considerable difficulty in finding a place where they could repair a puncture.
P Zero from now on!
Smooth, quiet and reasonable price for a premium tyre manufacturer.
I expect around 50,000miles from the P-Zero tyre's, had them before the Bridgestone's , but was unaware of the outrageous hard ride and unacceptable noise before I purchased them.
Well, I've rambled on enough, Pirelli's for me, they're quiet you see. They glide around town, they deserve a crown

Uniroyal RainSport 5 rated 80% while driving a Jaguar S type 3.0
Driving on mostly country roads for 15000 spirited miles
Good tyre for the price with superb wet road performance, tackles standing water with ease. Expecting the fronts to last for around 20k before replacing with the rears probably good for another 10k. Not on the same level as a Pilot sport or Sportcontact in overall performance/longevity, but quite a bit cheaper.

Davanti DX640 rated 90% while driving a Audi S6
Driving on mostly country roads for 18000 average miles
When I purchased this car it had brand Davanti tyres fitted to to the front with partially worn Pirelli tyres on the rear. As I'm not a fan of mismatched tyres I purchased a pair of Davanti for the rear. In the past I have used many brands of tyres and found the Davanti comparable with most of the in their handling, wet and dry grip. They are quiet on the motorway, the road feedback is excellent and they are cheaper than most. I have been thoroughly impressed with them.
That said, the fronts are now down to just over 4mm of tread with just over 6mm at the rear. The fronts no longer inspire confidence and the wet handling has deteriorated. The front tyres possible have a bit more life in them but I will be changing them in the next week. Liked these tyres but less impressive when they get down to 4mm or so but would certainly purchase again.

Dunlop SP Sport Maxx rated 51% while driving a Jaguar XF S
Driving on mostly motorways for 20000 average miles
I had a 4wheel alignment when these tyres were fitted. For motorway / straight line driving, without sudden lane changes these tyres have been good and quiet. However, with a rear wheel drive car, with high torque I've found these tyres to break traction faster in both wet and dry than previous Continental Contact Sport 5. Wet handling has not provided the same confidence as the Continentals too. Comfortable tyres on a smooth good surface, but you have to be alert if you want to make quicker manoeuvres on the motorway or on fast A / B roads. I'd say performance has been consistent over the life time of the tyre, so not noticing reduced performance with wear. Sadly I'll be happy to swap these soon for another brand soon.

Infinity Ecomax rated 79% while driving a Audi A6 S line
Driving on a combination of roads for 3000 average miles
2014 Audi A6 Avant: After having the OEM Goodyear's for many years... Thought I'd give these a try. Excellent tyre. Wear a bit quicker but they're half the price. Highly recommended.

Dynamo STREET H MU02 rated 89% while driving a Audi A6 Avant 3.0 TDI Quattro
Driving on a combination of roads for 20 average miles
Blew two tyres in a pot hole. The other tyres were due for replacement at the time. So I bit the bullet and bought 4 of what the garage had in stock. They told me me they were not premium. Which was honest. The Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance I had from new were very good. I would be telling a lie if I said I didn’t notice the difference. But surprisingly very little compromises. Main differences are in the wet (traction light on setting off from traffic lights) but I got used to them and they feel confident now. Fuel is is better which I don’t understand. They seem to be lasting longer too. Can’t fault them to date.

Wear on edge Greater than the rest of the tyre. Wheels are fully balanced so no offset. Generall driving not heavy footed.
