Toyo OBSERVE GSI 6 HP rated 80% while driving a MINI Cooper S
Driving on a combination of roads for 1900 spirited miles
After 3000km (1900 miles) of mixed winter wet/dry and surprisingly recently, snow driving, I’m still happy with my decision to go with the Toyo Observe GSI 6 HPs. I was mostly expecting a performance tire suited to the wet, hilly, and sometimes snowy conditions of the west coast, and these tires haven’t let me down. While they aren't as aggressive or responsive as my previous Nokian Hakka R3s (AWD vehicle) in deep snow or extreme conditions, they're much quieter and still provide a great balance of grip, braking, and overall predictability across slush, ice, and fresh snow.

The Toyos have been great on everything from icy hills to twisty backroads and high-speed highway cruising. Their overall performance in mixed speed/road conditions has been impressive! As far as wear goes, after 3000km, I’ve noticed the tread depth has dropped from the original 10mm to 7-8mm in the front and 8-9mm in the rear. While I think this is reasonable (18-20%) given my driving style and road conditions, I’d be curious to see other users’ experiences and tire wear data to see if this is typical for this tire, especially with as my data comes with spirited driving over a 2-month period.

I’ve also been pleasantly surprised by how comfortable these tires are. They’re quieter and more comfortable than my Hakka R3s, even with the stiffer sidewall and higher PSI. The overall ride quality is great for both everyday driving and when pushing the car a bit more. So far in the early mid-life of these tires, the Toyos have been a solid choice, and I’m looking forward to a longer-term update as I continue to drive on them.

Toyo Observe G3 Ice rated 78% while driving a Volkswagen CC
Driving on a combination of roads for 1800 average miles
These are definitely quieter than the average studded tires I've tried. They handle well in both the dry and the wet, but they shine in the snow and do pretty good on ice. The price here is higher than average so the decision if I'd buy them again really depends on how fast they wear and how they hold up as they wear.

Matador MP93 Nordicca rated 80% while driving a Honda Civic 1.8 VTEC Sport
Driving on a combination of roads for 100 average miles
Immediately after installation, it impressed me because it is almost noiseless on dry roads at all speeds. Soft tire like a premium brand and yet excellent response in maneuvers. Low fuel consumption, I tested it as in the factory test. I did not drive on snow and ice because there is none for now.

Matador MP93 Nordicca rated 81% while driving a Skoda Octavia estate
Driving on a combination of roads for 6000 average miles
This is my first winter using the Matador Nordica tires, and I’ve driven over 10,000 km (6,000+ miles) in various conditions—wet, snowy, and dry. In my opinion, they’ve performed very well.

The handling feels solid, and I get good feedback from the road. The fuel economy is also impressive, and the tire noise is not bad. Most of the noise I notice comes from aerodynamics rather than the tires themselves.

I’ve had a few emergency braking situations, and fortunately, the tires stopped in time every time. Of course, a key factor in such situations is the driver’s reactions.

Overall, I can confidently recommend these tires. If you’re a responsible driver who doesn’t push the limits of physics, you can fully rely on them. However, I can’t comment on their wear yet, as this is still my first season with them.

For the price, I think they’re an excellent choice.

Riken Riken Snow rated 87% while driving a Vauxhall Corsa
Driving on mostly country roads for 4000 average miles
got these on a corsa van and they are great in the snow and not noisy on the road, good wear properties for the blocky tread pattern. Bought some more for the rears to replace the verdenstiens which are not as good in the snow.

Toyo OBSERVE GSI 6 HP rated 77% while driving a MINI Cooper S
Driving on a combination of roads for 1050 spirited miles
These were the best available winters on short notice at the time, but I'm glad I gave them a try. Manual FWD turbocharged.

Previously used LingLong GREEN-Max Winter HPs, Blizzak WS80, Hakka R3s in a similar (but wider) size in Ontario snows, but wanted tires more oriented to the wet west coast winters this time around.

No snow yet this season, but these tires are crazy good in the wet. Have hit multiple deep standing puddles mid-lane switch on the highway and the Toyos give me great confidence. Watching the rear footage of my dashcam on the highway is watching a torrent of water getting evacuated out back.

Overall, about 3-4 months in, these tires have been great for that west coast combination of cold dry days, and very cold wet/flooding days. Good road feedback, much quieter than my previous snow-oriented tires in the dry/wet, and comfortable despite the XL / stiffness rating.

Will update review if we get snow, and may also try dropping the pressure a bit for comfort/grip!

I have this tyres for 1 month(1500 km) were i was on the icy, snowy and wet(and very wet) roads. On snow, tyres are really good and also on dry surfaces. On wet surfaces, are good but not like Michelin alpin a5. Very good price for this performances. I really recomanded

Nexen WinGuard Sport 2 rated 97% while driving a Volkswagen (B8) 1.4 TSI (150 Hp) DSG ACT
Driving on a combination of roads for 0 miles
I am giving this review in the third winter of use. I looked for the tires to have characteristics as close as possible to a summer sports tire. They are as expected, after 2 years and ... they are still soft on the road but hard on the sidewall, they have a very good steering response, braking is very good both on dry and wet roads at minus temperatures, but at the same time very tiresome, even the resistance to aquaplaning is very good, the only minus is the traction on snow, but that does not interest me because I avoid icy roads and snow as much as I can because they are salted and I am a maniac with car detailing. I recommend them to everyone except those who are looking for good traction on snow.
