OMG OMG OMG Dear People!!!!!! Because of the positive feedback of the rewiers on this site, I made the big mistake to buy this tyres !!! I am almost crying for spending my money on this THINGS!!! I don't know how other people are driving but considering their positive feedback of this tyres I believe there are a lot of Sunday drivers on this SITE!!! STOP BUYING IT! I had Pirelli previously, and changed for this bshit tyres recently. My car is not the same!!! I don't feel safe at all! My car is under steering at speeds over 90km/h which is nothing. Used to drive my pirellis at any speed, top 262km/h and no under steering while this ones are! Please, people who really like quality and safety and good performance of your cars, don't do the same mistake!

Given 10% while driving a Volkswagen Golf Mk6 1.4 TSI 160 (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 4,000 spirited miles
hi, i have had these tyres on my vw golf 1.4tsi with 170BHP after remap - this is not the fastest car but is a little nippy for a 1.4 - Now after getting it remapped i wanted a good set of tyres, Halford highly reccomended that "ALTENZO" Is the tyres that i should go for!
I drove the vehicle around locally on a daily basis for 1000 miles and had the tyres switched around from front to back at 500 miles so they can scrub in properly.

after about 3/4 weeks i went out on my first distance driving. That is when i realised what a big mistake i have made. I really DO NOT KNOW HOW THESE TYRES ARE EVEN LEGAL.
Driving on these tyres was like driving on Plastic tyres. In the wet they are absolutly terrible. Aquaplaining is just the start never mind when the vehicle starts veering side ways. Here is a typical example
" You are driving down the road in rainy conditions doing 30MPH with your family in the car, 100yards later you indicate to go left. you slow down an try to turn left but clearly you car is going RIGHT!!!"

THIS IS THE WORST TERRIBLE SH*T TYRES I HAVE EVER BOUGHT AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO BUY THESE

I HAD TO DO WHEEL SPINS ON EVERY CORNER JUST TO KILL THESE TYRES SO I CAN REPLACE THEM WITH ANOTHER SET

I HAVE SINCE THEN REPLACED THE FRONT ONES WITH *** NEXEN N8000 *** AND HAD THEM FITTED TO THE BACK AND OH! MY GOD!WHAT A HUGE DIFFERNECE THEY MADE. DRY & WET GRIP IS EXCELLENT!

I HAVE NOW STARTED WHEEL SPIINING AGAIN TO KILL THE LAST SH*T PAIR OF ALTENZOZ AND I AM LOOKING TO REPLACE THEM WITH THE NEW NEXEN PATTERN - Nexen N Fera SU1 - VERY GOOD REVIEWS AND ALSO THEY ARE RATED "A" FOR THE WET GRIP WOW!

Given 86% while driving a Audi A4 1.9 TDI (245/45 R19) on a combination of roads for 5,000 spirited miles
Have to say ive never left a review on here before but i reckon it may help others. Ive two cars, an audi s2 wich i put good quality stick rubber on as its my toy, and a daily audi a4 tdi sport for commuting etc. ive had many a4s over the years and usually first thing to go on them is a set of budget alloy and tyres. Bit of a learning curve as i didnt actually know you could get tyres that bad!!!! They were so bad that i wouldnt let anybody else drive my a4 in the wet as dhe was lethal (fun in the right places! Going sideways round rounabouts at 15mph is always a giggle!) so when i got my new alloys and decided to go for the altenzos i wasnt sure what to expect. Dry i thought would be ok and wet i was prepared for the worst again.......

They are awesome! So grippy in the dry and excellent in the wet. No slip or slide and only every give if im pissing about with full boost out of corners etc. genuinely veru suprised and impressed with these and wouldnt hesitate to buy again!

So just for folk that need a decent tyre on a budget, these would be my choice!

Hope that helps

Given 83% while driving a Honda CIVIC CDTI (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 20,000 average miles
At a complete loss as to the numerous reviews saying poor wet weather grip as have never had a problem on my Civic 2.2. Have Kuhmo's on the rear and they let go way too easily compared to the Altenzo's - even trying to provoke front tyres to slide in the wet is a challenge. I can only guess others are driving like complete numptys in the wet.
So far covered 20k and amazingly have 4.5mm left - more impressive as I know the Civic has a habit of eating front tyres. Definitely going to purchase another pair for mine and probably put them on my partners car when the time comes too.

Given 86% while driving a Ford S Max (225/50 R17) on a combination of roads for 15,000 average miles
Had these twice now as they are value for money and not endangering my family. Hard wearing, soak up the bumps, basically the complete opposite of the factory fitted Good Years that lasted barely 9,000 miles. Granted I have not pushed them to the limit, but for town driving or journeys to the Med, they are perfect.

My only gripe ... I can't find them in stock anymore :(

Given 94% while driving a Skoda Suberb MkII (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
This tyre certainly polarises opinion! I have just replaced the Pirellis which came as OE with the car. The Pirellis had about 3mm left but were becoming noisy and traction control could be provoked on damp surfaces.
So far have only covered 1000 miles included a round trip of 500 miles in atrocious conditions - driving rain and high winds.
The most noticeable difference is how comfortable and quiet the tyres are.As another review has said they seem to float over road imperfections that the Pirellis would have crashed into rather than over.
There is also more initial bite on turn in.
I have no idea how the tyres perform on the limit and would suggest that normal driving should not be seeking the limit . Save it for the track!
Braking dry and wet is fine. I have no evidence so far of lateral slippage in the wet.
So, so very so very good

Given 40% while driving a Audi A4 (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 6,000 easy going miles
I drive an Audi A4 at moderate speeds. Avoid these tyres as they are treacherous in damp to wet conditions, not suitable at all for the UK!!

Given 87% while driving a MG ZT 135 CDTi (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 60,000 average miles
Just one drawback I can mention in relation to this tyre - sliding effect in the wet condition on turning or on roundabout. On the straight with speed over 60m/h absolutely no any concerns. I've done 60k miles so far and still have 3mm - not bad.

Given 100% while driving a Renault Laguna Phase II (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 5,000 average miles
Set of four 215/50/17 went on standard Silverstone alloys. Surprisingly none of the wheels took any weights! Balanced on Hunter with road test function. Super smooth drive, no vibrations at all. Very good dry and wet grip. Constant speed of 150kph on German autobahn in heavy rain was absolute walk in the park for the tyres. They replaced set of Michelin Primacy HP and from the start noticeable reduction in road noise and improved ride comfort. It feels like car hovers over bumps and pot holes (sides of the tyre are very soft). After 5000 miles hardly any wear (Altenzo signs on the tread still clearly visible). I haven't tried pushing them to the maximum but they are perfect choice for everyday driving. Car feels safe and quiet! Will definitely buy again.

Given 73% while driving a BMW 530i (275/30 R20 W) on a combination of roads for 2,000 average miles
Cannot fault for the price, put them on my 20" 3sdm 0.01 245/30/20 & 275/30/20 on my 530i E60, 260bhp through them with no issues what so ever in the dry, they will slip in the wet if you stamp on the gas, but everyday general driving with no issues.

Given 84% while driving a Vauxhall Insignia ST SRI CDTI ecoFLEX 160 (245/45 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 12,000 average miles
I have to say I have bought these tyres twice now. The first 2 for the front are 18 months old and hardly worn. Have just bought 2 more for the back. Had no issues whatsoever, they are comfortable, well wearing, and have had no experience of slippage in wet or dry conditions. I cannot fault them and the value for money is superb. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a good tyre at a very reasonable price.
