Renault Laguna Phase II Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Uniroyal RainSport 3 given 92% (225-45-17-W)
Driving on mostly country roads for 12000 spirited miles
Well not the greatest tyre but on temperature ranges between 5C to 22-25C they are great being unable to either get the ABS kick in or slide them (actually last time I broke a spring in the corner but didn't lost traction). On outside temperature above 25C-30C they definetly start loose grip both in braking ,accelerating and side loading. On rain well this is the greatest tyre I've driven in my 14 years of driving expirience , keeping 90-100km/h during heavy rains and storms(you litterally barely see where the road is) this rubber didn't gave me the slightest loss of confidence about the car handling. Definetly good in going through deeper pockets of water without aquaplaning. In general I would say probably the best road summer all around tyre for normal users but for high horsepower and really sport driving this is not the tyre since the soft compound it has quickly heats up and starts loosing traction rapidly , you would need more harder tyre compound for this.

Writing about the Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons Gen 2 given 68% (205-55-16-V)
Driving on mostly country roads for 5000 average miles
These replaced Bridgestone A001's on my car, they do nothing as well as the discontinued Bridgestones did, they aquaplane badly and understeer a lot earlier than the bridges did.I won't be buying again.

Writing about the Three A P606 given 80% (225-55-16-W)
Driving on mostly motorways for 10000 miles
Besides the fact that are quite wabbly i am very happy with them. Currently i'm at 10k miles and i can say that they will do anoanother 10k easily.

Writing about the Bridgestone Turanza T001 given 74% (205-55-16-H)
Driving on mostly motorways for 30000 average miles
Tire is OK considering the price, but I expected more from Bridgestone. A couple times I was surprised in the wet, and there I was most disappointed. I think for the money you can buy a better tire of lower-cost producers.

Just took the last pair off my laguna, they were new on when I got the car but I replaced the fronts this time last year for Bridgestone A001's as I was fed up of little grip in the dry and none in the wet and cold.Just swapped the rears for the Bridgeys and the car now drives properly and is a lot quieter.I wouldn't put Event tyres on my wheelbarrow never mind my car.

Writing about the Altenzo Comforter given 100% (225-45-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 average miles
Set of four 215/50/17 went on standard Silverstone alloys. Surprisingly none of the wheels took any weights! Balanced on Hunter with road test function. Super smooth drive, no vibrations at all. Very good dry and wet grip. Constant speed of 150kph on German autobahn in heavy rain was absolute walk in the park for the tyres. They replaced set of Michelin Primacy HP and from the start noticeable reduction in road noise and improved ride comfort. It feels like car hovers over bumps and pot holes (sides of the tyre are very soft). After 5000 miles hardly any wear (Altenzo signs on the tread still clearly visible). I haven't tried pushing them to the maximum but they are perfect choice for everyday driving. Car feels safe and quiet! Will definitely buy again.

Driving on mostly country roads for 0 average miles
Fitted full set onto my Renault Laguna, an 09 2Ltr diesel turbo In October 2012. No doubt a good winter tyre but oh the noise - thought something wrong with the vehicle and had it checked out. ie bearins transmission etc but vehicle fine and no problem until these tyres fitted. Now passengers commenting on road noise. These tyres will have to GO. as it's making for uncomfortable driving. Sorry Goodyear but I,ll have to try another brand unless you can come up with a suggestion.

Writing about the Silverstone KRUIZER 1 NS700 given 73% (205-55-16-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 average miles
Bought these based on the features listed on the Silverstone website. I drive a Laguna and wanted a quiet comfortable tyre. That's what I got. These are MUCH quieter and MUCH more comfortable than the Kumho they replaced. I found grip to be good in both dry and wet, but I haven't been rallying! If you're a boy racer you wont want these tyres. Thry're quite spongy while cornering and lack a little feedback which the Kumho were good for. They are however quietest most comfortable tyres I've ever bought. If it's luxury you want, buy with confidence. If it's sport you want, look else where. I scored the wear based on the compount carachteristics but I've only driven about 1k so far.
