Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 Reviews - Page 10

Given 90% while driving a Audi A4 Allroad (245/45 R18) on mostly country roads for 500 average miles
Having switched from Michelin Primacy 3 to these I was absolutely astonished with the difference, the car felt much more in control of itself, and drove where I wanted it to go, not where the tyres thought I should. Handling was a revelation. Primacy came with the car, but I never really had any confidence in them, and a surprise was their love of white lining. The Asymmetric 6 are a revelation, dry and wet braking are excellent, I have no problems with handling, even my wife has noticed a huge difference when she drives. Comfort level and noise so much improved over the last set. This is an initial review, done only 500 miles, but what a massive difference we can actually enjoy driving the car.

I tested this tyre both on dry and wet surface. Dry grip is amazing, my car feels very sporty on these tyres. On wet, car is so steady and it feels like you are driving on dry road. Amazing tyre. We'll see about wear, because I just fitted this tyre 2 weeks ago.

Changed from OE Bridgestone Potenza S001 to Goodyear Asymmetric 6 (205/45R17). Transformed my Mazda MX5ND handling and steeringfeel for the better. It feels very predictable and progresive on the limit. (When the Bridgestone's lost its rearwheel grip it was often sudden and not progresive enough). The Goodyears is also less noisy and more comfortable. I am very happy with these tyres and think it is oustanding value for ones money. Other tyres I looked at was Michelin Pilot Sport 4 and Continental Premium Contact 6.

Good tire. But for me it doesn't beat the Asymmetric 5

I moved from the Asymmetric 5 to the new Asymmetric 6 a few weeks back, and while I don't know about wear, everything else seems better. The handling is improved and noise in the car lower.

Given 87% while driving a Honda Civic 1.5T (235/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 1,100 easy going miles
The car feels more stable and steady than previous Michelin primacy 3. Car follows steering command without understeering. Best option so far after nearly 2000km

Amazing tyre, I replaced a Pirelli P7 run flats with these and although it is an unfair to compare them as they are totally different from one another, the difference is night and day. The comfort is now at a different level, the noise levels are significantly lower, the dry and wet grip are amazing too. It was between them and and the Michelin ps5 , but I’ve had the previous model asymmetric 5 and I really liked them, not to mention the price difference. Initial feel is good and I like them a lot , happy with the purchase . More to follow.
