Landsail LS588 UHP Reviews - Page 5

Audi (225/35 R19) on a combination of roads for 10,000 average miles
My car is not a sports car.It is an audi a6 avant 3.0tdi.So its a big heavy car.Wheels are pretty big 19inch.So i go to the local tyre place and ask for two tyres.Just under 400 pounds WHAT?.So i start doing a little research and up pops landsail ls588.In a blind tyre test it did ok against all the big names.I bought four tyres for 220pounds.Ive been to germany twice cruised at 150mph.Tyres are nice and quiet and have lasted well.My question is where in this day and age can you put your high price tyres through their paces .You cant too much traffic so why would i spend nearly a grand .I love fast cars and yes if i were living where there was little or no traffic and i had a porsche of course i would spend the money. But for day to day driving around town and the occasional road trip there great.

Given 95% while driving a SEAT ibiza 1.4 (215/45 R16 W) on a combination of roads for 500 easy going miles
Needed to replace the horrible Bridgestone Turanza’s and having done some research on Landsail, thought I’d give these a punt. My car is now more comfortable to drive and soaks up the road ruts better, far less noise than the Bridgestone’s and the LS588s provide good steering feel from town, country and motorway roads. I drive within the limits of the law and it’s only a 1.4 Ibiza, but now it’s just better to drive than before. There are some impressive videos on You Tube about Landsail and I’d recommend watching them. Costs are amazingly good value, basically I bought x4 tyres online, paid for fitting and alignment for less than x2 premium brand tyres. Also, the Quality of these tyres is very good with their respective C/fuel and B/wet and only 68Db. All in all, a good decision. (Cannot comment on wear as not been on the car long).

Given 37% while driving a BMW 320D M Sport (255/40 R18 W) on mostly town for 100 easy going miles
Bought this for my BMW F30 M Sport. they are truly horrible for road feed back or handling for that matter. I lost all the handling characteristics after fitting these tyres. The car feels dangerously numb and unpredictable at any given speed. although correct specification are filled , tyres looks narrower that the original Pirallies.
however for plus side, they are surprisingly very comfortable and super quite.
i would not recommend.

225 45 18 W LS 388 in the front
255 40 18 W Ls 588 in the rear.

Given 50% while driving a Hyundai Tucson (245/45 R19) on a combination of roads for 200 average miles
The problem I found with theses budget tyres is their vagueness on straight smooth road surfaces it made my two wear old Hyundai have the steering response of a forty year old Morris marina , and yes my dad had one and I drove it . Great if you like the feel of recirculating ball steering , just not for me .

BMW (225/45 R17) on mostly town for 200 average miles
Just put these babies on my e92 325xi 225 40 18 front and 255 35 18 rear, very good road feedback, low noise and excellent grip in both wet and dry. I admit i was quite sceptical in the beginning because i have never heard of Landsail before, i will definitely buy again.

Very good tyres between 3°C and 12°C. Too soft above 12 °C.
Excellent wet grid. Good dry grip. Comfortable.
Poor road feedback and steering feel above 12 °C.

Given 86% while driving a BMW 3 series (225/50 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 28,000 average miles
I bought theses tyres to fit on my BMW 3 series as an experiment to see how non run flat tyres would perform. If the experiment failed then I would not be out of pocket by that much. I can say that from my experience the car performed no differently apart from an increase in fuel economy. I feel confident in both wet and dry condition and even the snow the grip was fantastic, I did not miss a days work when a lot of my colleagues claimed to have been stuck. Fitted these tyres at just under 50 k miles and they have completed 28 k and still going. Will need to change the rear axle shortly although the front pair are in excellent condition with plenty of tread remaining.

Given 94% while driving a Mercedes Benz CLS 320 (245/40 R18 W) on mostly town for 3,000 average miles
I don’t usually write products reviews. But this time I was impressed by this product (tyres). The value for money that you get is impressive.
I can’t see no difference in dry and wet with other tyres brands but there is significant difference in snow.
This winter in Ireland we had a lot of snow and I was driving my MB CLS320 in the snow and I had no issue whatsoever. I was amazed that I can still move well in the car with rear-wheel drive and with summer tyers. Previously I had BMW and couldn’t move at all in snow, I also had different tyres that time.

Given 92% while driving a BMW 320d touring (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 1,000 spirited miles
After reading these positive reviews i gave landsail a chance on my rear wheel drive remapped bmw(rear axle). I must say honestly that they are briliant! Finaly got confident back after previously tried other cheap tyres which was dangerous especialy on wet road! 588's are "glued" to wet roads, no more unwanted roundabout drifts 😉! And they ar e much cheaper than premium brands with the same performance.

Given 88% while driving a Fiat Multipla (205/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 200 average miles
Got them on Friday and been driving in dry and wet. So quiet, very good handling tyre. Some people who market them down clealry don't know about tyres. I've had all the brands and let me say this - better than Hankook which are considerably more expensive Too much snobery and not a lot of management by fact. Done c200 miles and will come back with another review later. Will they last 20,000 miles - possibly not. But for the price and quality - great. If they last me 18 months I'll be well chuffed. They are being fitted on new cars now. Watch the video on-line. Factory is awesome.
