Very good tyre, better grip on dry than Prem Cont 6

I do not really feel qualified to write this review as I an not a retired Formula One driver like the other reviewers on here, nor do I drive my car like a stole it, whichi is another great phrase I enjoy to read.
Despite my lack of driving skills I have not ended up in a ditch yet or had any real problems with these tyre, they are perhaps a little noisy but othe than that they are are a lot better than the Nankangs I had before.

I've got a 7 seater so not the lightest of cars but when I've bought these Landsail tyres I thought that they'll last longer than 7000 miles.
Previously I had Nokian Weatherproof all season tyres and they've lasted about 30000 miles which was great .
For me it doesn't justify the hassle of changing the tyres every summer with these Landsail , very disappointed.
Grip on dry is average , on wet awful and since I got them I've noticed a vibration when driving at all speeds and done the wheel balancing twice , although there was no vibration with the Nokians .
Next I'm going to try the new Continental All Season tyres because a friend has them and he's very happy with them.

Had to replace all my tyres at each MOT test on yearly basis.

I replaced some very worn Dunlop and Avon tyres on my 2001 BMW Z3 with Ladsail LS988 tyres, supplied and fitted by Uncle Tom in Harlow,Essex, UK.
Extremely disappointed with the the wet grip of these tyres, bordering on dangerous.
The back of the car slides on corners a bends at relativity slow speeds. Luckily I have been able to correct the slide without a collision. I'm sure a touch of the breaks would cause a spin.
The old worn out tyres gripped much better.
i would have replaced these tyres with a better known make, but as I only do a couple of thousand mile a year in this car I just avoid using it in winter or wet conditions.

I drive between 20-30,000 miles a year with 80% being for business ie. car loaded with up to two passengers & luggage so I inflate the tyres accordingly. I fitted two new Landsails on the rear in Jan 2016 and two new on the front in July 2016, the rears are on the wear indicators now (2mm) and I've done 22,000 miles on them, excellent for a budget tyre. The fronts are both on 6mm and done
17,000 miles so expect them to come in at around 25,000 miles.
Just for the record in case your wondering I never go about 70mph, mostly on motorways at 60-65mph, drive like a chauffeur mostly, no harse braking, steering or acceleration- this is what will eat your tyres! I save on average 20% on fuel driving like this as aposed to the average driver. If this sounds good to you then join your local IAM Roadsmart or RoSPA group and earn about advanced driving.
Oh and don't forget the cheaper car insurance for doing so!

These were on my Audi when I bought it. Obviously the owner had gone budget for the replacement of the fronts as she had a pair of Hankook Ventus S1 on the rear which were half worn.
Dry grip in the landsail was average and reasonably progressive. Braking felt good, although through the corners would drift a lot (understeer) when pushed.
In the wet however these tyres were appalling. I only have the 140ps Audi but in second gear it was easy to spin without full throttle, and in corners had to be very gentle on the throttle or would spin up easily and understeer a lot. Very little progression in the wet as well.
Comfort wise these were average, but at motorway speed were much noisier than I'd like. Especially considering the A3 is already known for high levels of road noise.
Wear wise they were pretty good and seem to have outlasted the Hankooks.
I wouldn't buy them again as I thought the wet performance was just too poor, but being honest this is because I drive so few miles (3,000mi per year) that I can afford performance tyres as they last a long time for me and I prefer to be able to be 'spirited' in my driving if the occasion presents itself. I never had the feeling of security with the landsail to do this so I've upgraded to the Goodyear Asymmetric 3 for my new set of tyres.

In the car repair business and bought these after recommendation from a work colleague.
Thought they would be 2nd rate on my own Saab 9-5 but decided to give them a whirl. Pleasantly surprised at the good all round performance and that includes wet weather. I will buy them again although there is little sign of wear yet. However I will put some on my Kia and maybe that will be a different story. Time will tell! I notice another Saab Aero owner gave a good review. Maybe they suit this car.

I was concerned when I saw some of the comments about these tyres, particularly as I had just returned from having two fitted to the front of my Chrysler Crossfire.

I've subsequently spent time looking hard for problems, but honestly can't fault them!!

The dry grip is good, and as a direct result of the reviews on here I've pushed it on some cold and wet roundabouts just to see what happens, even deliberately trying to provoke under-steer has not caused any problems at all.

When you consider that my car is rear wheel drive and has 215bhp trying to push the front straight on, it means the tyres are doing an excellent job.

The car feels sure footed and I am happy with them.

These tyre came as a package deal with some new alloys i bought.
My t5 weighs 2.5 tons and i drive it hard mostly country roads hard braking
Hard corners no problem no problem in the wet. Would buy again.

Fitted to BMW E60 525d. 245/40/18.

This is a half season type of review from the UK. I got these fitted to the front and rear of my E60 (5 series) and i was very impressed from new to 3mm. (2 seasons)

The level of grip in the dry is really good and in the wet no worst than a premierm tyre. I know my tyres and had many premium brands over the years and got recommend these by a contact in the trade who said they would be ideal for my type of use,

I run summer wheels (which these where fitted to) and winter wheels which are fitted with Michelin Alpines so i never experience these tyres in temps less than 7'c average so unable to comment how they perform once the rubber hardens in the cold or real cold wet / autumn etc

So from a summer season point of view i would choose these again, they offered plenty of grip in the wet, but i never pushed it hard in the wet anyway, but in the event of hard braking the ABS would never kick in which you would expect if the tyre was losing traction, maybe in 1700kg RWD car they will perform a bit different than a FWD high torque car, but please take into account the above regarding i used them only in the summer months.

As many other reviews have clearly stated: AVOID THESE TYRES IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIVES!! Whilst I appreciate a bargain as much as anyone, there are clearly limits to what is acceptable and what is not! Firstly I will be clear in saying that I did not choose these tyres, they came as a deal sweetener with the purchase of a new car last year. Immediately I noticed they were significantly worse than the Goodyear/Michelin tyres I had previously been running on. In the first 2 days I had to adjust to pulling away very slowly at junctions or they would wheelspin (even at incredibly low revs-I drive a diesel!). I also noticed how slippery they were on roundabouts, the kind of effect you would normally associate with fuel spilt on the road-kind of slippery..kiss goodbye to driving around them fast, any speed faster than 20mph would result in dangerous understeer. I would find myself very unnerved driving on & off roundabouts constantly whilst these tyres were on the car! In the dry they were less than acceptable, but in the wet they were downright dangerous, unpredictable handling, awful stopping power-leading to increased stopping distances and having to leave bigger gaps between myself and the car in front (which people may argue is safer anyway). As I am tight I persevered and tried to make do with them for the duration, as I had been getting 20,000+ miles from previous tyres; these barely lasted half that and to be honest I COULD NOT WAIT to have them removed!! I have gone back to paying the premium for Goodyear tyres & am much relieved it has to be said, all back to normal with confidence behind the wheel once more. **Seriously, take heed; only purchase these tyres if you do hardly any miles and are really hard up, otherwise just take what is arguably the most important aspect of your cars safety equipment seriously and pay the extra £10-15 per tyre extra and have peace of mind!! You have been warned!**

Avoid these tyres at all costs! They are hands down the worst tyre I have ever driven. Dry grip is average, wet grip is dangerous to all but capable drivers. Even more so if fitted to an older vehicle without modern electronic safety systems.

I have Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance at the front end and they highlight just how bad the set of Landsail LS988 tyres on the rear axle are. They are hard, noisy and are prone to unpredictable breakaway. Wet roundabouts at 15mph will have the car sideways. My front wheel drive focus has no understeer issues but will currently oversteer on lift-off and under full throttle in the wet. I dread to think how much worse a set on the front axle, or even all round would be. Avoid at all costs unless you like opposite-lock.

Brought these tyres for my audi s4 b6 and up to yet they are fantastic,
I really can't complain at all. I would recommend others to buy them really good tyres.

AVOID if you enjoy life. BUY if you fancy living on the edge every time it rains...

I genuinely can't believe how badly they perform in the wet. I had two of these on my E250 fitted by the dealer prior to collection.

I read the reviews here first and decided to see how they felt before changing them straight away. As soon as it rained, they went!

In the dry they're so, so. Understeer is easy to provoke whilst the grip is nothing to write home about. Maybe okay for old Dorris on the Picasso to visit the shops.

In the wet, I came home a little wet! Rain, fast moving traffic, low light and Lansails are a frightening combination.

The front of the car aqua pained every so often and roundabouts off dual carriage ways were met with a lot of nervous laughter and praying. They are THAT bad.

I don't drive like a loon however I've driven performance cars all my life with Michelin tyres fitted so I can appreciate a decent tyre.

Don't cut corners, even if you don't intend to drive quickly, one day in the wet you might need to avoid something sharpish or perform an emergency stop. It's then you'd wish you had spent that extra £20 per tyre.
