Decent for an Economy tyre, replaced the OEM Firestone F590's on my VW Polo and they inspire much more confidence in grip levels. Dry grip is great, I can feel the car can holds much more on demanding bends than my previous tyre which tends to give out slightly. Wet grip is OK, though too much standing water at high speeds (i.e. Motorways) will aquaplane the car slightly but never beyond control.

Snow and Ice is surprisingly decent for a Summer Economy tyre in my experience as it coped the recent heavy snowfalls but that's probably down to the setup of my car (lightweight FWD supermini). Though too much untreated ice on the roads and it can slip, so they're still no substitute for Winter tyres.

Comfort-wise it is a bit more nosier than my original Firestones, its probably down to the harder compound of the tyres. But the trade off is that it has good longevity, almost approaching 10,000 miles and it still have plenty of tread left.

Overall while a bit pricey, they're great tyres and would consider re-purchasing again.

I have given these tyres top marks for grip but the cars 4WD does help but even taking this into consideration they do hang on in the corners. They have only been on for about 1000 miles so its to early to say how they will wear. Very quiet tyres at all speeds. I was running P6s which were not so quiet and whilst driving in a straight line resulted in me having to make slight directional steering corrections - these hold the line.

Got these fitted yesterday to my Ford Fiesta Mk5 and have already noticed a big difference in car handling. I previously had some ceat spider tyre's.
The car seems to stick to the road more, there is less noise, the handling seems more secure and bumps feel more easy.

So far I have driven on roads glistened with a bit of ice and wet areas and the car really does feel more secure.

Not a bad tire for an energy saver. These were on my car when I bought it almost 2 years ago, they had about 6mm of profile left when I bought them. I switched the front and back and got out of one pair 20.000miles and the other 25.000. Very happy with this.
The performance of the tires is not dissapointing although in the wet it is not top notch (but still better than a lot of cheaper branded tires that I've driven before)
The main downside is that the tires give very little feedback and makes the taking of corners very lifeless. A reason for me not to buy them again.

If you're looking for fuel saving tires these are a very good option. If you put as much thought into the purchasing of new tires that you would read reviews about them on the internet you'd probably want a more lively tire.

Bought my car when it was 2 years, 11 Months old and about 25k miles, the tyres had never been rotated, so got the garage to swap them round at the time I bought it.
Living in Jersey, only do short runs and max speed of 40mph,getting nearly 40mpg over here which I think is great.
Have not done much motorway milage with this, but all seemed fine when I had a w/e to from Weymouth to London and back about 3 months ago.
Lost grip only twice in Jersey coming out of junction in raid, but kwen if was losing grip,so so the power off!
Now done over 28k miles and front 2 tyres still good.
Back 2 need replacing soon.
What to do? Do I get 2 new Michelin's @ ?64 each(none in stock!)or get 2 Barum 2's @ ?46 each?
I like both brands - I have Barum's on my wife's Honda Jazz and these are fine, but a bit noisey, but don't know which!!

have just had 4 new tyres fitted, never had Michelin before and thought I'd go for the best this time. I decided to have them Nitrogen filled at Quick-fit to give them the best possible chance of showing their full potential. I wasn't disapointed, although I have only done a couple of hundred miles in them the car has a new lease of life. It feels and responds 100% better than it did, Quick-fit say its a combination of the Michelin and the Nitrogen that has transformed my 307 from a bumpy little mad mouse to a luxury safe handling high end car. I will comment on the mpg as soon as they have a few more miles under their belt. I would recommend the Nitrogen in the tyres to anyone and at only ?1 per tyre at Quick-fit its well worth trying it.

Great tyre. Even seems to give good mpg. The only downside is the haggling/shopping needed to get the purchase price down to a reasonable level.

Had these fitted on a new shape Berlingo van (more like MPV than van in style) when bought new. At just over 20000 fitted a new set of 4. IMHO they do reduce fuel consumption, especially on longer trips, but it is the only really good point. I am not impressed by their wear, they get very noisy when more than 50% worn, but absorb road bumps well. Dry grip is good, but wet grip is less impressive AND DO NOT TRY TO USE THEM ON SNOW AND ICE! I had a new set fitted in October and I couldn't move off in snow in January.
I will look for a different make next time.

Changed to Michelan after only 16,000 miles due to fast wear from the original Continentals.
These tires now done 29,000 miles just about in need of replacement. Rear tires stll just OK at 45,000 miles.

I bought these Michelin Energy Saver tyres when I had 21000 miles in the clock 4 years ago and now at 46000 miles I`ve to change them. I used these mostly in London, sometimes on the motorway.
I can`t really compare with other tyres because these are the first what I have, but I`ve checked the other`s reviews and some tyres are running 30-40 000 miles, so mine run just 25000. :(
The grip in dry and wet conditions are very good, sometimes I had to break in the last moments and I stopped!
I can hear the tyre nose about up to 40 mph, over that the engine and the wind noise louder.
On the motorway at 60mph I can do 60mpg (unloaded, no passenger, summer time).

I bought these tyres from the only place that was open on a bank holiday weekend and was told they were the best they had in.
Dry grip was superb, as was the braking in both wet and dry, especially on the motorways that I was using a lot at that time.
Then I found that driving the local town & countryside roads showed a jeckyll-and-hyde like nature to them. On greasy roundabouts and corners (some on 70mph roads) the grip would suddenly evaporate, leaving the car sliding sideways, even while other traffic at the same speed kept control.
They may be comfortable and they may last forever but I'm not willing to risk an accident for them; swapping to a full set of Falken 542s in the hope of a bit more control...
