Fuel efficient, less noisy but grip is not very good. Replaced after 21K miles.

My car was delivered to me with Conty 5 and those were great for spirited driving but way too stiff on b-roads, junctions, steps in the city etc. Moreover, not impressive on wet. I live in Switzerland and bulk of the mileage is a weekly commute of 400+ km motorway journey weekly, plus some transfers toward the seaside and mountain trips.
GY Efficient Grip has been a sensible solution to improve comfort with no compromise for normal use. I tried both on autobahn and indeed the Conty are better when speeding. Nonetheless, found that superior there only and pretty happy of the change: comfort, wear, noise. mpg all improved in this order.

Decided to give these a try after having various other brands. so far very impressed as I drive up hill and down dale to work on varying roads and surfaces. The tyres haven't broke traction under enthusiastic driving or screamed like a bag of stabbed pigs. Feel and feedback are good and the road noise doesn't feel like im going to work in a tumble dryer full of house bricks. After having had Maxxis which fell apart and split in 4000 miles no customer service response ! Then a set of AVON zz5 excellent in dry not so clever in wet got 15 000m out of them on front . Lets see what these Goodyears have to offer and how long they last;as Arnie said "al be back!"

I have these tyres on my Golf TDI GT, I had a set before they lasted about 15,000 miles that's motorway driving

When I bought the car it had major handling issues, such as strongly pulling to the left, Loss of grip and squealing in corners, and nasty wheelspin when pulling away in the wet, even when being careful with the throttle.

Despite the fact the existing tyres were not heavily worn (Marshal), I decided to replace them with something of known high quality, and found these Goodyears.

The main reason I bought them was to try and make pulling away in the wet safer; because sitting at junctions wheelspinning was getting me into trouble, but they did a lot more than that. I'm still amazed by the difference. Handling was vastly improved, the pull to the left went, and now I can take a corner hard without sliding or squealing.

Wet grip is especially impressive. It makes surprisingly little difference to them whether it is wet or not. They are very sure footed and you can rely on there being grip when you need it most. They are also very quiet on decent roads, but do roar a bit on the worn rubbish that makes up most of our local roads.

They are not perfect though. I reckon they need a few extra PSI than most other tyres would. This is because of how soft they are, the extra pressure helps them cope with weight transfer. Fuel economy is much the same, maybe slightly worse. It's good but don't expect these tyres to pay for themselves in fuel savings. They won't come close to that.

There's also a big question mark over wear. They seem to me to be the kind of tyres that would wear quickly, but more time will tell. In any case they're more than worth the high cost foar the safety.

Next time I might consider something with a stiffer sidewall but I certainly won't be buying cheap rubbish!

Very pleased with these. I am a gentle driver and do lots of motorway miles and these tyres will last me 40-45k miles having done 38k so far. I like that they are quiet and provide good grip wet or dry. Will buy again.

Very safe tyre good all rounder would recommend to all at the end of the day a tyre is as good as the driver we all have.a limit

Great tyre for breaking a fuel economy-BUT will only last around 12,000 on front or 18,000 on back, which is poor considering i only drive a 1.2 VW Fox. I do drive harshly 50% of the time, but when you average 20-25K a year, you want something that will last 12 months rather than 6-8. In comaprison to my old AVON ZT5, I would say they are a slightly better tyre all round, but will last around half the distance if you drive aggressively.

I live in outback Australia, New South Wales, Tilpa. I have an Australian built Ford Falcon, BA wagon. I had these tyres fitted 6 months ago. I can only say that they are able to handle day temps of 52C, floods, rocky dirt roads and bitumen. Most roads out here are rocky dirt. Never had a puncture. Extreme temps, never had a blow out. Extreme rain, excellent grip and no aqua planning. In the outback, reliability is the difference between reaching your place today and reaching your place in a week, if you are lucky. I highly recommend these tyres to anyone that commands top performance and quality from their tyres.

7000 miles and all look good. My previously tyre was the Michelin energy and primacy. NOT again.

I've had these tyres on my old car, Kia Ceed, drip grip, wet grip, road feel, comfort, etc were excellent, however, the tyre structure feels quite soft, always worried that it'll get damaged by kerbing. Drove 6000 miles on then before I sold the car, hardly noticed any wear on them.
I now have Yokohama AE50 tyres on my new car, a Civic, it feels far more lighter then goodyears, and steering feels more vague with Yokohamas. However, the Yokohamas have a harder tyre structure, and has less road feedback, which I don't like.
Between them two, I would choose the goodyears for comfort, grip and handling

First thing you feel when you driving a car its a silence and softness, tyres have perfect specs in braking as on the dry weather as on the wet weather, i have tried them under the torrential rain and they were very good. Saticfied and highly recommend.
