Hold on guys there is a PROBLEM with these tyres...or at least on my heavy people carrier there is. You see grip is one thing but if a tyre has soft and compliant side walls then when applied with a force ie: going round corners or changing lane direction at speed on motorways, then what you end up with is a vehicle responds slowly to steering input, understeers and most alarmingly displays a lack of stability. Because of the elasticated effect of these sidewalls and the good grip on offer what happens is you move the car but the sidewall just gives and with the grip of the tread of the tyre the vehicle just doesnt know where to go and by the time it does its too late. Its a shame because in terms of price, grip and looks they are good BUT I need to know where my car is going the second I input to the steering wheel. I think thats a no brainer in tyre design!!

Shocked, i bought these to replace Toyo Proxes T1R's on my Zafira 2.2, i wasn't expecting much, but was on a budget. They are far better tyres than the Toyo's, quieter, grippier and give much more confidence. Will be buying again definately.

Driving on mostly motorways for 30000 average miles
more than 30k miles on Zafira (mostly motorways, but also fair bit of windy hill/mountain roads at reasonably high speed)
never had any complains on grip in both dry and wet conditions (180kmph in rain in Germany - no hint of skidding)
very good at not losing balancing with wear
minuses:
- (obviously) not good in mud/snow/deep water
- noisy (but not worse than other 225/45 R17 tyres I tried yet)
- relatively expensive (price/milage, among high other performance tyres)

the only reason Im considering something else as a replacement is that I'd like to try other tyres with better (reported) fuel economy/noise characteristics

Bought primarily to reduce the road noise on my Vauxhall Zafira which wears 225/45s.

The previously fitted Continentals were unendurable at Motorway speeds - these make the noise bearable - the difference was like night and day.

Car didn't handle quite as well as it did with the Continentals but its a people carrier and that really doesn't matter.

Replaced the Dunlops on my Astra Cabriolet with them too and it worked similar magic.

Great tyres - at a loss as to what to replace them with now that goodyear stopped making them in the right size for my car.
