When I bought my 2018 Civic Type R, these were already installed as low profiles. I drove these tires through winter- WINTER. and they worked perfectly fine, even if they were low profiles. But I was grandma driving on winter. Now when I have the chance to make pulls, these tyres never let me down on the mountain curvy roads. 100% I am buying these tyres again, only thicker when I downsize my rims.

SportContact 6 we're pretty shocking for the price, especially with their awful wear, but these 7's are a HUGE upgrade and rightly place them alongside PS4 / 5 and the new Potenza's.

Wet performance is the best I've ever had on ANY car with similar tread width and suspension setup, feels super safe and I'm not ashamed to say they've been above 100 mph in pouring rain (safely) with only the slightest of floaty-ness beginning. They're so planted even in multiple mm of water. Cannot believe how good they are in the wet, I've never experienced this performance before even from RainSports (admittedly at 215, not 245). Cannot rightly put into words how safe these feel in the wet, just for that alone it's tempting to get another set.

In the dry they're up there with the PS4S in my opinion, never tried the PS5 though. Cornering is rigid and tight, doesn't feel squishy at any point with stiff dampers. Very responsive, but they do make my torque steer more pronounced, probably related. The SC6 had wheel spin all the way through 3rd but in the warm these have NONE! That's 320hp to a 245 tyre, in cold England, with short gearing and 1.8d camber, extremely impressive from a "street" tyre. Launch could be better, the PS4's had better slow cornering I think, not entirely sure what that translates too as these are better for fast cornering?

The only downside to these imo is the wear isn't great, not as terrible as SC6 but they've still lost about 2mm in 3k miles on the front, barely any lost on the back though (FWD gang). I think with rotation these could last 15k miles spirited street, compared to the circa 9k miles I got on the old version.

Cold driving is decent, not the best but it's a summer tyre, after 10min of driving they're warmed up enough to be pushed. Friends say the new Potenza's are awful in the cold but I wouldn't say these are noticeably bad. Not the best comparison but the Potenza's are supposed to be the new king of wet, not too sure about that >:)

Overall, best wet tyres available imo. And up there with the best UHP tyres for dry. Stable, stiff and a good feel. Wear is a bit mehhh.

I'm not sure what everyone is complaining about... These tyres work fine.. My car is RWD 270 bhp... No problems... The funny thing is, the Phi's are on the front, I have an even lesser Accelera tyre on the back and yet I have no issues, the car is controlled, grips well and the feedback is good. From a stopped launch to pulling quickly out of a side road, I've not had any issues. I haven't had any understeer from the fronts, they communicate well. In the wet and in icy conditions again, no traction issues. They are stable on the motorway no wandering or instability.

The only thing to note is the road noise is a little higher than you'd expect but not a big issue and the ride is a little harsh although I'd expect that from any tyre with a 30 profile.

I paid £74 per tyre + fitting (£22 per tyre), so £182 for two, fitted.... A Michelin of the same size would set me back over £280, per tyre, fitted! I'm not expecting these budget tyres to grip like a Michelin or similar premium brand and neither should anyone else. I'll save the £380+ for two tyres thanks.

These tyres are so bad in the wet ive had my Audi A4 quattro step out twice on me in a bend. I cannot wait to get rid of them. I would never ever have these on again.

Landsail LS588 UHP rated 69% while driving a Honda Civic Type R

The shop put around 41psi at the rear, so my first drive can be considered really scary. They felt unstable at the beginning the high psi did triggered the TPMS. Had to stop and deflate them to 33psi. At 300km breaking in, I still don't feel safe when entering corners so I pump another 2psi to give it stiffer feeling for the sidewall. I can now put a bit more throttle at the corners without the scary sliding/unstable feeling. Now at 1000km, a little improvement during cornering, however straight line pull is not stable. The rear is unstable and the car feels like floating at high speed. At 170kmh, you can feel like the tires are too soft and flexing too much even with straight line pull. Still manageable but not really as good as the Conti. I'm not expecting the LS588 to perform like OEM Conti Sport Contact 6, but they are night and day difference. However, at normal driving speed they can be quite comfortable. Low noise. Just that they are not really reliable/safe for spirited driving.

This OEM Tyre for my '18 Type R has sensational grip and response that take full advantage of the brilliant chassis. That said, they are a nail magnet, easily get out of alignment after a few potholes or bumps in the road, and while less than some alternatives are still dear. The ride and comfort level are quite good for a 30 sidewall, and they have not let me down in the rain. The good news? They are so rewarding to push hard you'll want to buy them again. The bad news? You will get to do that much sooner than you planned.

This is my 2nd set of Continental CSC6. Totally love the amount of grip these tyres provide and Honda OE these tyres for a good reason on the FK8R. The steering feels so precise and spot on during dry. However, these tyres lasted way shorter than any other tyres that I've ever used.

I have these tyres fitted to a BMW 6 series this was the OEM spec that the car was purchased with , i really do not recommend these tyres as at present the car is on its tenth tyre be it a combo of front and rear regardless of the size the issue is exactly the same the tread separates from the tyre, a vehicle with less than 55000 miles. I have no confidence in traveling too far as it seems that every long journey these tyres do not withstand consistent driving yes tyre pressures are checked on a regular basis , tracking and balance checked and all checks out.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S rated 94% while driving a Honda Civic Type R
Driving on track for 3000 spirited miles
I'm at my second set of PS4S-es on an FK8 Civic Type R. From a mileage perspective it's about half and half road and track use with typical track usage following the following pattern: 1 warm-up lap - 1-2 hot laps (depending on the weather) - 1 cool-down lap and so on. The car is stock, minus race pads (Ferodo DS 3.12). Now for the tyre - it's a good all-rounder, lasted probably around 4-5K km in this drive mode, decent lap times and the lot. The MOST IMPORTANT issue that I encountered is that the sidewall is soft and you need to run them at higher pressures than what "everybody" tells you. Anything below 2.5 bar and the sidewall, especially on a front-heavy, FWD car as I have will have the car riding on the sidewall and destroying the tyre in a couple of laps. (Found this the hard way, BTW). So, as a conclusion, GOOD tyre to arrive at the track, pound all-day-long and return home on the same rubber, but keep the pressures up. Cheers

The Sport Contact 6 is the tire that the Fk8 Type R comes with from factory. Has tremendous grip in the dry, very good in the wet as well. Road feedback is excellent, can feel every undulation. The car is very easy to place throughout a corner. Many had issues with wear but I'm at 23 k km right now and they're almost worn out. I drove the car almost exclusively on country roads or motorway at very high speeds. Very rarely spun the wheels at low speeds or accelerated hard from a stop. I drive very hard, very close to the limit so I'm quite impressed that they lasted this long given their apparent low life. Will probably fit Cup 2 next out of curiosity to try semi slick tires.

The Sport Contact 6 are the manufacturer mounted tyres for the Civic Type R FK8. After about 20000km on them, mostly motorway and city streets, they still have pleanty of thread depth remaining. I haven't taken them on track nor did I drive very fast. Rarely above 130km/h. But even above that speed, grip levels are great and the wear is okay. They tend to melt on the sides a little. Wet grip is good, though aquaplaning is quickly noticeable at 80km/h and above. Deep puddles feel like a parachute opening behind the car, pulling you backwards. Cornering is great at normal speeds, both wet and dry. At low temperatures, they slip a little and need some time to warm up. Above 15C, they are good to go off the bat. You can feel every little bump and stone in 245/30 and you shouldn't take them on unpaved roads.

Have this on my honda fk8 since bought car brand new.. dry and wet grip was great, feedback and handling was phenomenal , but at 11k km, the front is worn out right at the winter indication. Rear still has 70% life. Probably because i abuse the fronts with launches and B road drives (no track at all). tyre has seen its great days but now it loses traction in WOT even in 2nd, forget about 1st gear. I would say i would want a tyre to last 30k km at least, the plus point of this tyre is not enough for me to re-buy or recommend to others. No doubt its a very very good UHP tyre But the horrible wear is just a deal breaker for me(unless you drive like a granny, should be fine). If you have the money to change tyres every 15k km go for it, if not move on.
