225/65 17 Tyre Review Highlights

Michelin CrossClimate 2 rated 74% while driving a Honda CRV
Driving on mostly town for 10 average miles
These have been great on our Honda CRV . I wanted an "all year" tire with a good winter (snow) performance and was less concerned about tread life.

Continental CrossContact ATR rated 64% while driving a Toyota RAV4
Driving on a combination of roads for 20000 spirited miles
I understand it's an AT tire but it's very uncomfortable and jarring to drive compared to my Yokohama geolander g015 AT tires I ran before. The snow performance was a disappointment, I definitely don't think these can stay on all winter if you're living in a snowy area. That said, dry grip has been very impressive, and they feel very sure footed and handle confidently. No issue with wet traction either.

Goodride SU318 HT rated 56% while driving a Nissan X Trail 2.5 petrol
Driving on mostly country roads for 26000 spirited miles
Really they've been a fine all round tyre except for longevity! Got 26000kay and no longer pass wof. But hey they were grippy in wet and cheap so can't complain

Dunlop Grandtrek ST30 rated 100% while driving a Toyota RAV4
Driving on a combination of roads for 38 average miles
I have driven pretty fast om turns, and the tires griped the dry pavement very well. This is my second set of Grandtrek st 30 tires, and I never heard the tires screech on either set. On wet pavement the car moves slightly to the left or right when I drive over big puddles of water. The tires have great traction in the rain. The first set of tires lasted 74k miles. The 2nd and current set of Grandtrek st 30 tires has 38k miles.

Michelin Pilot Alpin 5 SUV rated 72% while driving a Honda 1.6 I DTEC
Driving on mostly country roads for 20000 spirited miles
Good wear but little slippy on wet snow
As Michelin is closing factories in France, I'll not buy again.

Michelin CrossClimate 2 rated 86% while driving a Chevrolet Equinox
Driving on a combination of roads for 45 average miles
My initial thoughts of the CC2 tires when new were very positive. Good grip in all weather conditions, rode as good as the OEM Tires (also Michelin) that where worn down to the wear indicator bars. However, after having these fitted for 3 yrs and 45,000 miles, I can say that they appear to be significantly noisier and ride stiffer than I recall when they were new. Still provides very good winter traction and little wear given the miles. Last check they had 7-8/32 tread depth. Another observation is that the steering effort lightened-up when these were installed but I don't know how much that might be due to the tires or to the 4-wheel alignment I had completed when they were installed.

Very good tyres.

Vredestein Pinza HT rated 62% while driving a Honda CRV
Driving on mostly motorways for 1000 average miles
Definitely a mushy feeling tire compared to the OEM tires that came with my Honda CRV (Goodyear Assurance). Definitely a touring focused tire because it had very good comfort and road noise compared to my old tires.

Pirelli Scorpion Verde rated 31% while driving a Chevrolet Equinox
Driving on mostly motorways for 35000 average miles
Tires are all worn out evenly at 35k miles. Will not replace with Pirelli’s.

Cooper Discoverer ATT SUV rated 94% while driving a Suzuki grand vitara
Driving on a combination of roads for 25 spirited miles
I use these tyres on my suzuki grand vitara, I am 100% happy with these tyres in all weather conditions. These tyres give absolute comfort and control with zero road noise, if your looking for performance tyres then look no further, they are great in the dry and the wet, snow and ice. I use these tyres off road as well and they are great off road, I go places were most 4x4 drivers don't dare to venture and I have never been stuck with these tyres.

Nokian WR G4 SUV rated 40% while driving a Toyota RAV4
Driving on mostly motorways for 25000 easy going miles
I wore out a set of these tires in 40,000kms (25,000miles). I had my tires rotated every 7000kms when my vehicle was in for scheduled maintenance intervals. They are by far the worst tires I have used. My wife expressed to me on several occasions how she feels unsafe with them. They do not instill confidence to the driver and make you pucker up for every wet bend or snowy turn. I will not be buying these or any other nokian product again.

Nokian One rated 84% while driving a Mazda cx5
Driving on a combination of roads for 15000 spirited miles
I have had the tires for 15k miles, and am very happy with them thus far. There are on a small Mazda SUV and I think are a good match the spirit of the car. The wear is just now kissing the 80% graphic. The tires are not totally silent, but certainly 9/10 for it - An occasional strip of concrete will make them sing, but that is the exception. Dry traction so far is 10/10, with wet having a little noticeable lapse from a stop - FWD, but have not slipped or pushed in wet cornering. Dry handling matches the car’s spirit - lively without sharp bumps transmitted. We only had meaningful snow for a few days this year and they were fine - not a Hakka, but no surprises. I am keeping my eye on prices for it for my wife’s car, as it remains a top contender soon. Current set is made in Dayton, TN - USA! Son has the identical car with Pirelli Scorpion AS+3 - These Nokian ONEs compare very favorably, at a significant cost savings in that size
