235/45 18 Tyre Review Highlights

Accelera PHI R rated 40% while driving a BMW 135i
Driving on mostly motorways for 20000 spirited miles
In the dry, these tyres do the job. But they do the job about as well as an LS388, and on my 380bhp 135i, every corner turns into how well can I drift challenge.

I bought these primarily as the car is only used for motorway trips to my other half’s house, Wigan - York, and so burning up a nice set of PS4’s for motorway and the (very) occasional hard driving sessions, it made sense to purchase cheap tyres to eat up motorway miles. Car does not go to work.

Wet grip:
Where do I get started.

135i, 380bhp, LSD, literally spins 6th gear in the wet. Even 10% throttle kicks the back end out into a slide, genuinely should not be sold these tyres on just how terrible the wet grip is. Do not purchase if you enjoy being alive.

Petlas Velox Sport PT741 rated 91% while driving a Suzuki Kizashi 2.4L FWD
Driving on a combination of roads for 0 spirited miles
I'm trepeat this coming week for my Suzuki Kizashi. Can't stress enough how good this tires are. I usually step in to 70mph with curves and hills, couldn't be happier.

Petlas Velox Sport PT741 rated 87% while driving a Ford Mondeo Titanium 2.0 TCDI
Driving on a combination of roads for 2500 spirited miles
Excellent tyre for hot/dry, stable at speed, good feedback excellent handling. Not for liw temperatures. Otherwise for summer, heavier/more powerfull vehicles best buy for enthusiastic sporty drivers.

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 rated 64% while driving a BMW 320 d
Driving on mostly motorways for 19250 spirited miles
Was OK for the first 28-30.000 kilometers but then incredibly hardened with low temperatures. Steering was almost impossible, the car always wants to go straight.

Pirelli Powergy Winter rated 76% while driving a Tesla 2024 Model 3 RWD
Driving on a combination of roads for 500 average miles
Perfect tires so far. Replaced Landsail Winter Lander with them which was not fun at all.
Good grip and feedback on both dry and wet roads. Only a few days with snow but it was all fine. This winter tire is more fun do drive on dry ground than the summer tires Michelin E-primacy that came with the car. 8,5 mm tread depth when new.

Davanti Alltoura 4 Seasons rated 88% while driving a Tesla Model 3 LR
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 average miles
Put the Davanti AllToura on my Tesla model 3. The grip and handling are great and range is better than I got on my Michelin x ice snow. They are a bit noisier than the x ice but at the price I got them in very happy with the purchase.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 rated 86% while driving a Tesla Model 3 standard plus
Driving on mostly motorways for 44000 spirited miles
Frankly superb durability on the 2021 tesla model 3 SR+ unicorn motor setup. Have driven through Australian summers and torrential rain with no issues. Wet handling is great and dry handling feels like you are on rails.

Nexen WinGuard Sport 2 rated 97% while driving a Volkswagen (B8) 1.4 TSI (150 Hp) DSG ACT
Driving on a combination of roads for 0 miles
I am giving this review in the third winter of use. I looked for the tires to have characteristics as close as possible to a summer sports tire. They are as expected, after 2 years and ... they are still soft on the road but hard on the sidewall, they have a very good steering response, braking is very good both on dry and wet roads at minus temperatures, but at the same time very tiresome, even the resistance to aquaplaning is very good, the only minus is the traction on snow, but that does not interest me because I avoid icy roads and snow as much as I can because they are salted and I am a maniac with car detailing. I recommend them to everyone except those who are looking for good traction on snow.

Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 PLUS rated 84% while driving a Honda Accord
Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 average miles
They're so refined, you don't know it's a performance tire until you push it or need it. Phenomenal in the wet vs hydroplaning.

Sailun ERANGE EV rated 54% while driving a Tesla Model 3 standard plus
Driving on a combination of roads for 500 average miles
Unfortunately, this tire does not live up to the manufacturer's claims; it is all marketing hype. While the price is low, the quality reflects it and you get what you pay for.

Avon ZV7 rated 55% while driving a Ford S Max Titanium X Sport
Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 average miles
Ridiculous wear rate on my ford smax.
Quickest wearing tyres I've ever bought.
Handling and grip is good when they are fresh but rapidly drops off. Wet grip is non existent. With half life tyres atm
