215/65 16 Tyre Review Highlights

Michelin X Ice Snow rated 93% while driving a Toyota Proace Verso
Driving on a combination of roads for 1500 easy going miles
Michelin X-Ice Snow is an excellent winter tyre for northern Sweden. The road conditions are extreme, with deep snow, as well as slippery wet ice. Not a single time I have missed the studded tyres I used the previous two winters on this car.

Kleber Krisalp HP3 rated 72% while driving a Dacia Duster 4x4
Driving on a combination of roads for 20000 average miles
First thing I noticed at this tyres is "jelly-like" move, the car it feels like a boat, horrible feeling. I don't care so much of the winter capabilities wich is ok, good grip in all condition but man... the sensation of boat is very bad, for me...
I never buy again, i changed at mid of life with a set of bomb proof Debica Frigo HP2, that is good but loudly an the fuel milleage is slightly bigger, but a very good tyre.

Debica Frigo HP2 rated 90% while driving a Dacia Duster 4x4
Driving on a combination of roads for 15000 average miles
In the ice it's not the best, but in fresh or tapped snow is very good. I don't like the noise and fuel consumption is higher than old Kleber Krisalp HP3

Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen 3 rated 90% while driving a Hyundai ix35
Driving on a combination of roads for 35000 spirited miles
This is an excellent tire for al year round driving, i live in Lithuania and have been driving these tires for 1.5 years , so two winters (slush or wet winters, rarely snow) and one summer. these were one of the best tyres i have ever driven on. Does not matter ice/snow/slush they handle everything perfectly. the tyres have been very good for 45000 km. From 45000 to 50000 km they have become more slippery, meaning when light ice or rain you can expect to get a slight drift going 60km/h on a down ramp. would highly recommend it. for me the only downside is wear, expected atleast 60k from them.

Nokian All Weather Plus rated 80% while driving a Dacia Duster 4x4
Driving on mostly motorways for 0 spirited miles
Decent all season tyre, have them for 4 years and are nearly to the mark. Still punch some grip but it feels like their are struggling. Most drive on highway , gravel and mud. It's a decent buy.

Hankook Kinergy 4S rated 83% while driving a Dacia Duster 4x4
Driving on a combination of roads for 36000 spirited miles
Overall I am satisfied about my decision to buy them, but I was disappointed about the fact they wore very fast, faster than expected, after 58 000 km - compared with the Continental stock tires. I had another pairs of tires ALL SEASONS CONTINENTAL ALLSEASONCONTACT (I was happy with them, too). Even now, after 2 years, on dry surface the Hankooks are almost freezing my Duster (1.6, 4 x 4, petrol, 2016) when a person is appearing from nowhere at a pedestrian cross (having 50 km/h). During work time I am driving 200 km / 5 days. On highways wet surfaces I had full control. I drove on mud, too, they kept me going forward. Slowly. but surely. In summer times I am going to mountains roads and hilltops, nothing special, no aggressive off-road, just pebbled, dust and forest roads. On forest and pebbled roads they behaved very well, but there were noisy. I used them in the winter on snow on Transfagarasan from Capra Chalet till Salvamont Arges refuge Cota 2000. I won`t buy them again because they wore (as I mentioned) too fast.

Vredestein Quatrac rated 81% while driving a Opel Mokka B
Driving on a combination of roads for 22000 average miles
This is the mid-life review after 35000km. The tread depth is surprisigly even - 6.5mm front/driven wheels and 6.7mm rear wheels. At this wear rate it seems the tyres will survive past 70000km until they are worn to 4mm depth. Tyres are still quiet, comfortable and confidence inspiring in majority of conditions. The driven wheels have some smaller chunks of tread blocks teared and block edges rounded. Non-driven look surprisingly good with sharp block edeges. I have just switched fron-to-rear to even out the tyres life. The car is Opel Mokka B - daily driver - schools runs, to/from work, errands and occasional long trips. Approximately 70% city and suburbs driving and 30% motorway and the car is rarely fully loaded.

Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season rated 56% while driving a Nissan Qashqai
Driving on mostly town for 15000 average miles
These tires was the worst I've ever had. Οn a wet road it was very dangerous. Τhe sign m+s is only typical. I did 24000km (15000mi) and then replaced them.

Kenda KOMET PLUS KR23 rated 10% while driving a Honda CRV
Driving on mostly town for 0 average miles
Bought these in Jan 2022, had to replace the front 2 in Nov 2023, and the back 2 in June 2024. Doing very low mileage, so these would seem to wear out quite quickly.

Michelin Latitude tour HP rated 56% while driving a Peugeot 1.2 puretech 75 hp
Driving on a combination of roads for 25000 average miles
My tyres are original with the vehicle, just 5 years old and completed just under 25K miles. The remaining tread is excellent, but the tyre walls have cracked and deteriated. This has been bought to my attention as an 'advisory' on the MOT, with a recommendation to change these tyres as soon as possible. Have contacted the Michelin warranty department who have advised that this is 'normal wear' expected on a Michelin tyre. It is most certainly not on tyres manufactured by other manufacturers. I will not be purchasing Michelin tyres again.

Bridgestone Turanza T005 rated 73% while driving a Mazda CX30
Driving on a combination of roads for 30000 average miles
Car came with Bridgestone fitted tyres, I’ve driven on them for 3 years /30k miles on motorways, B roads etc , very long journeys through UK and Europe.

When I bought the car UK had a massive amount of snow it handled the snow decently

Wet handling was superb confirmed by v good handling on very difficult wet weather where I couldn’t feel any loss of grip like I felt on different type of tyres albeit on a diferent car.

Dry Handling good nothing to write home about which I presume might be a positive.

Breaking good
Sound proofing average
Comfort average
Fuel consumption v average
Wear very good compared to my previous car ( Volvo S80D5) had Toyo tyres that needed changing every 10-15k or so ..
