215/60 16 Tyre Review Highlights

Michelin Primacy 4 rated 57% while driving a Toyota Camry
Driving on a combination of roads for 35000 average miles
The tire has problems with turns, it tend to skew while taking a turn speed above 80km/h. It wear very quickly, sides and treads. It tend to collect every sharp object in the streets due to its soft nature. Has so many problems with patching and tend to vent regardless of the place or the size of the patch!!

Maxxis Premitra HP5 rated 57% while driving a Mitsubishi 380
Driving on mostly country roads for 23000 easy going miles
Excellent tyres but the wear rate is so high only 37km for a set. I am not a fast driver, my last set did 60km. Would not buy again due to the wear.

Bridgestone Ecopia EP300 rated 84% while driving a Honda Civic 1.8
Driving on mostly country roads for 5000 easy going miles
These are good tires. Love them over the Dunlop LM705's that I had earlier on my Corolla. These drive well in both dry and wet and excellent grip on bendy roads. Comfort is good too for the first 5,000 miles. Definitely recommended.

Pirelli Cinturato Rosso rated 97% while driving a Toyota Camry
Driving on a combination of roads for 20000 spirited miles
I recently upgraded from the Continental UC6 to the Pirelli Cinturato Rosso tyres, and the difference has been nothing short of night and day. The UC6 had me slipping constantly in the rain, but with the Rosso, I haven’t missed a single beat, even in the wettest conditions. These tyres are absolutely lovely!

It's been a while since I've experienced such a well-rounded tyre, especially after using the Michelin PS3, PS4, and Continental SportContact 5 in the past. I never expected a touring tyre to perform this well; I always thought performance tyres meant sacrificing comfort, but the Cinturato Rosso has completely changed my mind.

The softness of these tyres is immediately noticeable, offering a very smooth ride over uneven surfaces. The grip in dry conditions is simply amazing, and even in wet conditions, they perform impressively. Aquaplaning resistance is above average, though not the absolute best, but it’s certainly good enough to instill confidence in rainy weather.

There was only one instance where I felt the car was losing its tail, but that was due to my tyre profile being 60. A thick profile combined with a soft tyre doesn’t help during hard cornering, so a lower profile spec wouldn’t have this problem.

One thing I really appreciate is how quiet they are. Noise levels are low enough that they don't bother me at all, which is a big plus for daily driving. And when it comes to cornering, these tyres excel. There's no wallowiness; instead, they feel planted with plenty of grip and feedback, giving me the confidence to push through corners with ease.

Wear is amazing too, way beyond my expectations. Normally tyres can only last around 20k miles because of the way I drive but for these Pirelli, it can certainly withstand the torture and I'm about 60% into the life of these. More to go!

I'm so satisfied with these tyres that I'm even planning to purchase a set for my XC90. The Pirelli Cinturato Rosso tyres have exceeded my expectations in every way, combining comfort and performance in a way I didn’t think was possible. Highly recommended!

Sava Eskimo HP2 rated 85% while driving a Suzuki SX4 Scross 1.4T Boosterjet
Driving on a combination of roads for 25000 average miles
Very good experience with them, 5th winter now using the Eskimo HP2 (probably the last one, as I tend to believe the time itself takes a toll on the tire, even if the treads still look fine). Never had any problems with them (in terms of reduced safety while driving), except from once on a snowy, unplowed road, where we didn't comfortably come to a halt while braking - at least not where I anticipated it (maybe an additional meter, from a very low speed, maybe 25 km/h). However, there was no damage to anybody/anything, and the conditions were really nasty. Aside from that, I feel the difference on wet (compared to my Pilot Sport 4, in mild temperatures, say 5-10 dg Celsius) and on dry roads, but still the experience is more that satisfactory. Factoring in the quiet ride and the slow wear - a recommendation from me, I consider the Eskimo HP2 to be safe and reliable, especially for the price.

Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 rated 93% while driving a Peugeot 3008
Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 average miles
Best winter tyres I have driven yet! They are so soft and comfortable (non run-flat) I love driving my car in the winter more than ever. Responsive, great handling and you never loose control even on snow or ice. I am talking about regular driving in a regular car (not performance and drifting or racing) but a family Peugeot 3008. I have confidence climbing on hills or uphill without doubt.
Previously I had driven Michelins (also not bad but comfort and noise is so much better with these), Sava, Tigar and Sailun. Sotozzero 3 were the absolute best among all my previous tyres. Highly recommended.

Toyo Proxes CF2 rated 91% while driving a Toyota Camry
Driving on a combination of roads for 7000 spirited miles
I have used dunlop, maxxis and continental tyres on my Toyota Camry 2010 LE model. Now for 7000miles over past 5 months. Has a great grip on off-roads terrain and dry conditions. Handling in wet conditions not as great as maxxis and can be uncomfortable but does well at corners. A bit noisy on rough roads but premium quietness on smooth tarred roads. Has the best wear rate in all tyres I've used in the past. Could pass for new tyres even after 7000miles. Tyre resistance feels excessive when speeding on highway making it not suitable for fast cars. Braking is superb
Overall good tyre for off road, durability and braking

Westlake Radial RP18 rated 67% while driving a Toyota Camry
Driving on mostly town for 1500 average miles
I actually have RP38 on my Camry 2005. It is very affordable that's why I bought it. It is quite stiff and smells like a rubber ball of a basketball which I find is unusual. The dry performance is great while the wet performance is decent. The wear is also very good. My 2 complains are it is quite stiff unlike its competitors and is noisy. There is a humming sound at 40kph. Overall, I would still recommend this to thise who are looking for really cheap brand new tires.

Giti GitiComfort rated 66% while driving a Toyota Camry
Driving on mostly town for 1000 average miles
I have a GitiComfort T20 in my Camry XV30 and it is what it is. A comfort tire. It is decent on dry roads but performs poorly on wet roads. It locks up really easily in the wet and it happened to me twice. It also understeers a lot even at low speeds when wet. For everyday city drive in summer time this is ok. Would not recommend for those who may want some performance in the wet.

Toyo Proxes CF2 rated 86% while driving a Audi 1.8T Quattro
Driving on a combination of roads for 0 average miles
Stable at dry and wet conditions.
long wear (more than 50k kms.)
Good braking at moderate rain conditions.
Comfortable.
Not expensive.
A tire with not surprises but not recommended in aquaplaning and cold condition too. Drive with careful in this condition, remmember this is a summer tire.
Buy again?, yes!.
