I bought these tires as an efficient but premium replacement to the Michelin PS4's that I had on prior, and I was really disappointed. I bought these through KwikFit as they were A for Fuel and B for Wet Grip so they looked like a great option. However, the tires were less grippy in the wet and dry compared to the PS4 and I noticed cracking between the tread and along the edge of the sidewall. My car is a Mk8 Fiesta ST which does a lot of motorway miles but has the odd sprint on a backroad, these tires (nor the car) have ever been used on track and the cracks appeared quickly on the front pair and also eventually after a few months they appeared throughout the back pair of tires. I had the front ones changed prematurely due to my concern about the structural integrity of the tire. I complained and sent them back to KwikFit and they said they would send on to Goodyear for investigation, however after numerous chase-ups and calls I never received a verdict or a refund.

Maybe it's my fault for going with a more efficient tire over something like a Michelin or Continental UHP tire but I can confidently say these tires are not a high performance tire and do not have the longevity I have come to expect from the PS4's before it and the Continental PremiumContact 7's that I replaced them with.

Well, coming from the T005 and Pzero PZ4 (the extended shoulder variant) I was expecting a major step up in everything but I got it somewhere.

The tire is good, very good, very predictable, it grips from cold either in the wet or dry. Ofc when dealing with such low profile tires steering response is to be expected nonetheless.

Comparing it to the T005 is is a much more a UHP like tyre, it strays away from touring, not that I don't like that, but where it majorly lacks is in comfort, its sidewall is much much much stiffer than the T005 so it gives less comfort and most importantly less protection (give) for the suspension components. In Greece roads are utter trash, alas you want a tire to be as comfortable as it can be and protect your suspension. The T005 did that excellently, the T6 does not do that so well.

It's much more comfortable in comparison to the PZ4 and also it can work from cold while the PZ4s are like driving on ice when cold and wet. But road feel and harshness is much closer to them rather than the T005.

For me its always a matter of getting the softest tyre. But I've yet to see a comparison between the Premium Contact 7 and the T6 in terms of comfort.

Where that tire shines is in fuel efficiency. -0.5L/100km at 34-30 psi compared to PZ4s at 39-35psi.

Not a lot to add on top of others reviews and the official review.

For track / dual purpose these seem to just do it all. I'm yet to try a wet trackday but plenty of confidence road driving in the wet , and plenty of traction!

There's shed loads of dry grip, almost a little too much if you would rather have the limits close to you on the road. On track this of course translates to some serious corner speed for a road tyre and with enough feedback to adjust too. They also don't seem to drop off in grip level. A session of 15-20 mins easily builds consistency.

Would recommend to anyone wanting secure, grippy, talkative tyres that take a beating well.

Over the limit they're alright too, but I feel they prefer to be on the grip side.

I'm going to come back to them, but first revert to some more 'fun' options which are more playful at modest speeds.

Pretty average, nothing special, staggered fitment front tyres on my Lexus IS350, they replaced the Japanese Bridgestones that were on the car when I bought it (it's a Japanese import car) -- NZ roads are pretty hard on tyres, and very noisy roads, since most here are chip-seal, the tyres didn't really seem that amazing from a handling perspective but I don't drive super hard-out so who knows if they're great, the FK510s wore out after 31,314kms... replaced by some Nexen Nfera AU5 so we'll see how those go when they wear out.

I've been using many other budget tyres in the past. Normally others would last for about a year on my BMW as we drive more than the average. The EcoSport 2 might not be the best in the rain or in fuel economy but it's definitely a compound that last longer than similar budget rubber. In my case I managed to get around 5k miles out of these which makes this the best budget tyre to me.

Very good wet and dry grip. I driven 14.500 miles on these tires and they are down to the minimum 1.6mm which isn't good. I drive on bad country roads it seems to wear down any tires I buy quickly. It's the first time I clocked the millage on tires id say it's on par with other brands I always seem to just get a year out of the front. They seemed to grip until the end which is great.

Having had Mondeos and Passat estate cars as company cars for over 20 years, I have always sworn by Goodyear Tyres. I had them on my own Mondeo MK4.5 Titanium X Estate with sports suspension, they were 215/50 R17s. I had the chance to buy some mint MK3 ST 18" alloys with some almost new Uniroyal RainSport 5, 225/40 R18 tyres. I bought them and to my surprise I find the Uniroyal's amazing on the Mondeo. Handling is just as good in the dry and better in the wet as the Goodyear Efficiency Grips in my opinion and they are quieter. I will definitely be buying these again because they are approx £30 per tyre less than the Goodyear. Don't get me wrong the Goodyears are great tyres.

Usually used all season tyres but missed the performance of a summer tyre in the summer so thought these being designed with a bias for wet weather might be a bit of a half way house between a all season tyre and a summer tyre in the winter. They do what they say on the tin and have very good aqua planning resistance but I wouldn’t say they are any better in the wet than any other premium summer tyre. Comfort is good and they don’t seem to be very noisy either.
